Is anyone around on Tumblr interested in chatting about fantasy RPG stuff? Whether it's video games or tabletop, or BOTH, I don't care. I'm just really starving for conversation about it.

I'm working on developing my own tabletop RPG, have made 3 class cards for it so far as you can see on my page here (working on the 4th).

I'm also planning on getting RPG Maker MV for PS4, see if I can do anything there with my stuff as well.

Aside from that, I'm thinking a LOT about Final Fantasy stuff now. And... old-school fantasy games in general. But also some new ones. I mean, I'm currently playing Elden Ring. I also feel like looking for people ranting about how Final Fantasy has lost it's identity, because that's certainly something I strongly feel.

I'm generally thinking a lot about old-school fantasy stuff in the style of 70s, 80s, and even early 90s. So... is anyone up to chatting with a 38 years old nerd about this? XP

As a gay guy who really wants there to be more gay male inclusion, I used to strongly support Deadpool being pansexual. Especially because it triggers homophobes like Rob Liefeld. In fact, that's why I still support letting Shatterstar be gay (that, and it doesn't contradict his character and they gave him a male romance).

Nowadays with Deadpool, though? I don't support it. Because not only do they never ever DO anything with it, but it completely contradicts his character in 616 Marvel comics.

He was always depicted as heterosexual in the comics. Even imagining his ideal afterlife, he was surrounded by sexy hot women. Because that's what he always loves imagining. Never any sexy hot men. And this is consistent.

Whenever he allegedly shows attraction towards male characters, it's just a joke. Either it's Deadpool making a gay joke, or it's the writer making a gay joke with him.

Every single love interest Deadpool ever had has a female body type. No, I'm not trying to reduce Valentine down to their body, but I'm saying there's nothing that says you can't be a heterosexual man and still be interested in dating them.

There is this one comic page showing Deadpool and Ice-Man after having sex... but that's an alternate future elseworld thing, NOT 616 canon. And it ends with the punchline for a joke. So, again, it's just a gay joke.

If you are going to make Deadpool pansexual, actually make him pansexual. Because this is just stupid.

But as it is, just let him be heterosexual. There's nothing wrong with that. It honestly just feels like they're scared of letting him be that because they want to get away with making dumb gay jokes with him.

People keep insisting to me that Marvel Rivals sexualizes males and females equally, but they really don't.

Case in point, these two pictures. Punisher covers AT LEAST 75% of his cheeks, while Sue Storm REVEALS that amount. And she stands in a sexy pose perking out her butt, while Punisher assumes a more imposing tough "no-nonsense" pose clearly not compromising and clearly not intended to look sexy.

Yes, you can FIND him sexy, and he DOES wear revealing clothes. But he isn't really sexualized. Sexualization isn't about how much clothes you wear, but about WHAT you wear, how you present yourself, and how is it framed.

If what you wear is intentionally designed to be sexy, and your posture and framing is intentionally making you appear more sexy, then you're sexualized from a gaming perspective as a character.
