Yes, yes it is.

In the OVA Segai gets a shard of crystalline apocalypse-virus in his eye that is removed by lobotomy. Our theory is that he lost the ability to play instruments due to where the shard was embedded.

Here he is shrieking in joy at his own inability to play, and by proxy his freedom from the instrument he was likely forced to rehearse so much as a child.

The inability to do something so rehearsed and embedded into ones brain is simultaneously the most freeing yet terrifying concept I know of. I don’t think any single event can break a human being quite as much as losing their expression.

The “Fuck Keido Cat Band” will be performing their new album “Keido Traumatized me” live this weekend, complete with Gai motioning vigorously at his entire being when asked how he was traumatized and how it inspired the album written by Makoto Waltz Segai, unfortunately due to a crystal-lobotomy accident Makoto can only play bongos and other percussion instruments that require lower degrees of precision.
