˗ˏˋ ❀ ━━━ ⋅ basking in the unfortunate afterglow of embarrassment had never been fun for yunyeong, & it seemed as though that the maknae of CHARM often found himself with cheeks stained over with shades of merlot & vermillion, & a heart racing a mile a millisecond due to feeling humiliated about one thing or another. having been selected to model swimwear during the busan summer festival made him slightly nervous, but truth be told, he was excited to be put in a light that didn’t make him look like a child. besides, it wasn’t as though he was made to wear anything too REVEALING, so he thought he would be able to escape unscathed. however, after the event had taken place, he was alerted that, many of his fans had commented on how well - shaped, smooth, & beautiful his legs were, & that alone made his stomach churn with an influx of variegated butterflies ; some of their wings painted with hues of flattery while others were drenched in tints of chagrin. shaking his head back & forth, he stared down at his lap & chuckled anxiously ; reading over articles covering the subject at hand, or really, his growth from the once B A B Y I S H youngest member of his group to a more mature, sexy man. never in his life did he think that the words ❛ MATURE & SEXY ❜ would be used to describe him, so the shock that bestowed itself upon him was quite strange. turning to the person at his right, he shrugged his shoulders & grimaced ; his face angled towards his lap.
❝ it’s weird… like, i don’t know how to feel about being treated as anything other than a child. normally people tell me how CUTE i am, but it’s rare that anyone ever comments on my body… ❞ the danseur mused, a soft flurry of laughter trilling from between his full lips. ❝ is this what being objectified feels like ?? first it was my legs, now they’re talking about my butt… ❞ while he knew that his bottom - half was well - toned & nicely developed due to many years spent perfecting the art of dance, no one had ever been brazen enough to compliment him there except for his boyfriend, so it was a curious predicament. ❝ i wanna be like, flattered that they think all of its nice, but like, now i’m kinda self - conscious about it, hah. ❞
eunha’s schedules for the festival started only on the following day. she had made it this way so she could have an extra day of rehearsals, by herself, for lipstick’s upcoming comeback. but once the opportunity to drive down to busan had come, the woman had found herself taking it, knowing that she wasn’t going to focus completely on her task with he level of stress she was under. she had taken to walk around the festival, enjoying this rare opportunity of pretending to be a normal person, without people rudely stepping in and trying to take several pictures of her every move. she knew fansites were around, knew the press had probably sent a few photographers as well in the hopes of getting pictures of the idols misbehaving, but it didn’t feel as suffocating as simply existing in seoul often did. it was a faux type of liberty, but one she held onto tightly, even if it wasn’t long lasting. with the lack of privacy she’d dealt with for the past six years, eunha chose to enjoy any and every opportunity she was granted to reclaim some of it. the singer eventually had found herself at the scheduled runway show, her credentials enough to get her a front row seat to the meticulously organized event and into the backstage area.
she found yunyeong there, sitting by himself. the state of his relationship with blue was one the woman was privy to due to her close friendship with the unity boy. she had followed the development closely, from the moment blue had met this young, charming boy to the point where he had fucked everything up by being scared and to now, when things were definitely still fragile, but way better than they had once been. and not once, through this entire affair, did eunha have an opportunity to sit down with the younger, to try and get to know him better, considering she was such a fundamental part of her best friend’s life. perhaps it wasn’t okay for her to assume she was allowed to do that here, but eunha still went and took a seat next to him, offering yunyeong a smile and being given back words that she felt deep in her bones. “ you should try dancing in bathing suits and short shorts, you have no idea the amazing comments you’d get, ” the sarcasm that dripped out of her mouth felt foreign in eunha’s tongue, but it was still the most appropriate tone to translate how she felt about the entire situation. “ people – they see us as a piece of meat, because our company treat us as such. of course, non-celebrities are also objectified like this, but because we’re public figures everybody thinks this is what we owe them, the right of reducing us to stereotypes or to what we look like. ” it’d been years since the last time eunha had managed to show any reaction other than exhaustion towards people who chose to comment on her body. “ but don’t let them get under your skin, honey. you’re worth way more than that. ”
