fmdkami:
if she looked at it objectively, this festival was a great way to get some free promotions. they would be able to perform as gal.actic and her solo album would still be fresh. it didn’t take much to convince her to head out to the food festival. along with the fact that she chose to record it this time, it’d be good content for her youtube channel and she wanted to create a nice backlog of content.
she had just put away her camera for a bit, the one she was using to really using to get her content. for now, she’d simply enjoy the things around her. like the ice coffee that she had ordered, with whip cream on top. it actually tasted pretty good. “hello! and thank you,” kami gave a smile and stirred her straw around in her cup. “i’m glad you’re enjoying it, what’s your favorite track?” her tone was teasing mostly but she was really interested if haeun had been listening too it that much. “are you enjoying yourself?”
“hmm i like the whole album concept really,” haeun took a bite of her snack and pondered for a moment, “but probably ‘i wander’? i love the lyrics,” haeun finally said. she couldn’t help but admire kami for her release. she had just released her second solo album, something that seemed so incredibly unattainable to haeun she dared not even imagine it happening to her at some point, not with where 7rophy still was at this point. who knows though, maybe someday she’d be that far too.
“definitely enjoying myself. it’s a nice break from all those galas and parties. it’s nice to have the pressure taken off a bit, i guess?” in haeun’s opinion the nicest part about the food festival was the clothes, haeun was finally able to dress casually in light clothes that didn’t constrict her, and more importantly she was wearing flat shoes, something the galas didn’t really allow for. she had also probably been having too much champagne for her liking. after a moment however she added, “not that i don’t enjoy them but they do get pretty exhausting and my feet really deserved a break from high heels. what about you?”
location: pink party
w/ @dawonfmd
haeun felt itchy and uncomfortable in her dress and high heels, constantly resisting the urge to straighten and fix her outfit. this was very different to the rehearsals, performances and other idol activities haeun was otherwise used to. she felt overwhelmed with the amount of people, everyone else just as colour-coordinated as she was, everyone dressed to the nines. the pink party truly was just as lavish as haeun had expected it to be when she had first seen the dress code.
the fear of a misstep and blundering her way through the party stuck in the back of haeun’s head as she navigated the crowd, acutely aware of the fact that every high-ranking person in the industry was also attending. she spent her time sipping champagne and eating different variations of hors d'oeuvre offered. her eyes lit up when she recognised a familiar face among the crowd, a very welcome distraction for her over-thinking brain, “hey, dawon!” she said, making her way over to the other idol, “you enjoying yourself?” she took a sip of the champagne to give her hands something to do before relaxing a bit. she knew dawon, they weren’t exactly the best of friends, but he did always seem like somebody she could trust, “it’s...quite a lot, isn’t it?”
fmdminjung:
to: whoever 🥺💕 location: wednesday april 1st, contemporary art exhibit
art, a subject for fools drowning in their wealth and idealistic image of elegance. contemporary art was the pinnacle, crowding together flocks of phone intellectuals seeking the novel pieces to cling to their living room walls. they were the victims that equated the grandeur of the piece to the zeros attached to the price tag, and pieces of art were nothing more than a mere accessory adding to their growing collection of rare crocodile birkins and lavish cow-hide boy bags. it was the propaganda for the modern day rich customers, a flea market for them to oust one another to see who could scrape their way to the peak of the mountain as korea’s next top gangnam mom.
the whole exhibit is a ploy for gold star to constitute a more positive image on minjung after a heeding, destructive wave of criticism followed the first few instagram posts of her art - a manipulation to pivot her persona into the brooding artist, like a modern day basquiat trapped in confines of a van gogh society. she’s at the mercy of her company, bound by the strings of her contract like pinocchio except her stagnant nose provides no insight to her silent protests and reservations. the champagne flute intertwined in her slender fingers embody her chirpy cricket sidekick, the taste of the cheap champagne and sweet raspberries lingers in the back of her tongue, a reminder that everything bitter must have a sweet companion - the thought that fixes the glazed smile on her lips.
there’s a shadow of another person next to her, like a meager bystander, settling down, observing the passerbys as she takes another sip of the golden liquid. no eyes directed to this area, and a yawn escapes her lips, her heavy eyes and tight lipped mouth disregarding any hint of feigned interest for the entirety of the exhibit. “all this art is so ‘je ne sais quoi’ says the lifeless bodies in the room. people have such refined taste, dipping their frenchie fries in a sauce of horse shit, but what do you think captain?” her lips curve into an inviting smile, finding her own blue fairy for the night.
haeun couldn’t quite put a finger on how exactly she had landed at the opening of a contemporary art exhibition, clothed in a prim and proper dress. contemporary art was not her usual milieu, in fact she really didn't know anything about it. (and really, why would she have to? after all she was an idol not an art critic) she felt out of place, antsy in this room full of people that were richer than her even if she were an idol til the rest of her days. she had to force herself to stop gawking at the price tags of each painting, calculating the amount of times that could pay off her entire trainee debt. she was on her second champagne glass of the evening, spending her time nipping at the bubbly liquid and bobbing her head in feigned interest at other peoples’ remarks. anything to stop her from checking the clock every few minutes.
she was bored by now, having walked around the exhibition twice now, inspected all the art pieces thoroughly and blanched at each price tag she came across. she had even tried her hand at meaningful interpretation, yet the hidden meaning of most of the paintings with their broad brush strokes and cryptic titles escaped her. she finally came to a halt in front of one of the paintings, her manicured fingernails clacking against her champagne glass as she gave the artwork a once-over, when minjung spoke. haeun was stunned for a moment by minjung’s bluntness, her eyes looking around the room, expecting an angry expression from one of these exact people minjung was talking about. when she saw nothing of the sort, she relaxed. "hmm, what do i think?” haeun repeated as she cocked her head and squinted, “well - i have no clue what any of this is supposed to mean and what i am supposed to feel looking at these..works of art, it’s like i missed the memo this lot got” she took a swig of champagne,”the drink is good though, i’ll give them that.”
fmdkyunghwa:
𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: pink party || 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: apr 2 2020 || 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇: open
it’s not that kyunghwa hates pink because hate would be too strong of a word. she has nothing against the color, like she doesn’t have anything against any color – it’s just not one she thinks suits her well. fuse’s most recent comeback had been pink galore, the entire concept asking for bright colors and gold star going for the obvious choice of putting all the girls in pink a couple of times. again, kyunghwa didn’t really mind it but it’s not a color she’d choose to wear on an off day. and of course, because life tends to hate her a little bit, pink and white is the dress code for one of the parties she’s supposed to attend.
the woman chooses to wear a completely white tube dress, one that shows off her body in a way that makes her want to crawl of it – but a pretty one, regardless. the only thing pink about her outfit are the shoes she’s wearing, the ones that she knows are going to make her ankles sore the next day but that make her long even taller. they are far from being reliable though, and that’s proven truth once she loses her balance for one second and manages to spill the red wine in her glass down the front of her dress. “ shit, shit, shit, ” kyunghwa feels the tears welling up in her eyes out of sheer frustration as she tries, in vain, to wipe her dress clean.
haeun had spent most of the evening nursing her champagne and eating those small appetizers provided. anything to avoid too much small talk, really. while she loves the dress-up associated with parties like these, the actual events make her uncomfortable and while she knows she should be putting herself out there, it’s difficult. she much rather prefers sitting back and observing in party situations like these, especially with so many high-powered individuals in one place.
everyone looks gorgeous and the party until now has been just as uneventful as haeun had thought it would. which is why it immediately catches her eye when she sees kyunghwa trip over her high-heels, spilling her red wine over her pristine, white dress. she winces at the scene and immediately feels sorry for kyunghwa. abandoning her plan of acting the wallflower, she walks over to help the other idol, “this is exactly why high heels are the worst, you okay?” haeun tries to think practically, “do you have a jacket or something? if not you can have mine. it’s a bit flimsy though,” haeun reaches for her matching jacket on a stool behind her and hands it to kyunghwa, “fingers crossed, it might just cover it,” she cocks her head and shrugs, “if not, maybe my manager has something against stains.”
setting: food tasting festival, mapo seoul
w/ @fmdkami
haeun loved spring and she loved food, which meant this festival was practically made for her. her goal now was to try and forget the usual stress of her life for once and instead just enjoy the afternoon. haeun was content with just strolling around the stalls, sampling as much as she could muster from sticky sweet cakes to savoury skewered meat. this truly was the highlight of haeun’s week. it just had to be. a food festival that haeun was expected to go to with no further commitments other than trying food? it nearly made up for all the networking events and galas she had been dreading all month.
holding a meat skewer haeun walked along the festival grounds, only stopping when a familiar face caught her eye. a smile spread on her face when she realized it was kami, her senior. “ “hey! unnie,” she greeted, walking over to the other idol. she had been meaning to track kami down, especially now that her new album had come out, “congrats on your album release, it’s amazing. i’ve been listening to it nonstop since it came out, no joke,”

[ ✉️→ haeun ] dying your hair is overrated [ ✉️→ haeun ] i went almost five years with black and brown hair [ ✉️→ haeun ] and then suddenly i had to be tortured with bleach [ ✉️→ haeun ] and pink hair dye
[ ✉️→ aidynn ] you’re probably right. once i dye it ill probably miss the superior black hair
[ ✉️→ aidynn ] but your pink hair looks good though! very bubblegum-esque
[ ✉️→ aidynn ] i feel sympathy for your scalp being tortured with bleach.tho
. [ ✉️→ aidynn ] beauty really is pain i guess
fmdxlux:
[ ✉️→ haeun ] the rule is lux gets to flex her strong scalp, i guess.
[ ✉️→ haeun ] you’ll look pretty no matter what, but i see your point.
[ ✉️→ haeun ] maybe they’re just trying to preserve your scalp for when my hair all falls out.
[ ✉️→ lux ] your scalp really is strong tho with everything its been put through
[ ✉️→ lux ] and you really do pull every haircolour off..now thats iconic
[ ✉️→ lux ] but you know...i think you might be on to something here
[ ✉️→ lux ] they might be trying to keep my head a clean canvas for when all else fails

7rophy’s meeting on their comeback’s new concept had just ended and haeun was more than glad. it was bound to be another bold, girl crush kind of concept, very on-par for 7rophy. the month would be spent recording but for now,, haeun was ready to put that behind her and just sit down, eat and clear her head. dimensions moved so fast sometimes. promotions for ‘me’ had just ended but their new album already appeared nearly finished. it seemed like dimensions was always chasing the high of ‘hobgoblin’ and ‘latata’. ‘me’ had not been all that and haeun hated that feeling. she just couldn’t help it, she was always measuring herself based on the numbers and titles each of their comebacks reached.
haeun walked along the hallways of dimension entertainment towards the cafeteria when a familiar face stopped her in her tracks, “jaein?” she called out, surprised to see the other idol. it was funny, they used to see too much of eachother, penned up in the training room. the constant comparisons weighed down on haeun but also always motivated her to do better. it did breed animosity though and she never really did get rid of that spiteful feeling she had harboured against jaein. however, she did sort of miss that rivalry they used to have as trainees, which is probably why she couldn’t resist a comment, “oh, are you guys having a comeback too? i guess that means our contest is back on then, we'll see who performs better,” haeun cocked her head and smiled playfully but she was sadly serious.
[ ✉️→ ??? ] hmm
[ ✉️→ ??? ] is there an unspoken rule on who can dye their hair and who cant in this cruel idol world do u think?
[ ✉️→ ??? ] dimensions is just way too attached to my black hair and they need to get over it.
[ ✉️→ ??? ] i just feel like after five years of this i have earned the right to destroy my roots if i want to
cha haeun aesthetic - law student
haeun scoffs at the idea of auditioning for dimensions. does her friend really think they have a chance? instead she focuses her energy on what she always was good at, school. she still ends up in seoul after graduation, although for a vastly different reason. instead of stages, comebacks and photoshoots, haeun spends her days in the lecture halls and the nights studying.
