dropship

A small ship, composed of three sections. The top level can be locked from the outside. The middle is a large space with a hatch that opens to the outside. The lower level is a maze of tight corridors and exposed wires.

The first of our groups here at FOBD is the Dropship. If you’ve ever seen The 100 then you’ll recognize it right off, but don’t fret if you haven’t, we are a site completely unattached to The 100 plot. The setting, however, is the same.

There is one difference between this group and the other groups on our site:

All characters from The 100 that were jettisoned to Earth in the Dropship on the show that are app’ed will automatically be sorted into the Dropship group.

What are the four levels of racism?

Level 1 - Internalized Racism - racism that you can’t see within yourself. This also means you can hate yourself. For example, you realizing that White people gets attention and you secretly wish you were White for whatever reason.

Level 2 - Interpersonal Racism - It’s internalized racism, but speaking out loud (or worse, acting out). This is also the most common type that people talk about. When celebrities get called out, for example.

Level 3 - Institutionalized Racism - This occurs within institutions and systems of power. For example… Blacks are thought of as criminals, hence when you mixed it with power, they tend to get harsh sentences.

Level 4 - Structural Racism - This occurs among Institutions and society. Examples: The on-going Drug War, real estate redlining and blockbusting, generification.

When people think “racism”, they only think of either level 1 or 2. When I talk about it, it’s mostly level 4 and 3. When I attack a person’s statement, it’s level 2 because I have NO idea if they are level 1 until I see the BODY of their work.

So yeah… there are levels to this game.

Here at FOBD we are comprised of four main groups:

Dropship Alpha Station Mecha Station Grounders

We have a bit of an odd way of establishing which characters belong in which groups, in that the player doesn’t decide, but the admins do. When each character application has been submitted we will go over it carefully and, if accepted by at least two staff members, will sort it according to a variety of things:

How many characters there are in each group. We want to keep mostly even ratios, if anyway possible, so everyone has someone to interact with.

If there are already a few people from the fandom in one group it’s unlikely that a new character in that fandom will be placed in the same group. We want variety!

However! We will take into consideration any wanted ads one might have. If you place an ad for a character interaction you wish to have, then, if the ad is filled, they will automatically be assigned to the group the character who placed the ad is in.

General Differences Between Heroes and Anti-Heroes

2. The classic hero is not always a peace keeper or a conformist. In fact, heroes are always shaking up the power structure and ideologies because that’s what heroes do.

3. The antihero can have a moral compass and stand up to bad guys in addition to well-intentioned people the anti-hero thinks are pushy, uninformed, arrogant, etc.

6. There are plenty of hot anti-heroes out there (Draco in Leather Pants, anyone?). There are fewer plain-looking classic heroes, but they do exist.

7. Antiheroes can have love interests, although the love interest is more likely to move on or die (especially if the male anti-hero needs a motivation)

11. Heroes of all shades are chiefly reactive: responding to problems within their society. If anything, antiheroes are more likely to be reactive because they’re constantly trying to one-up the antagonist.

12. Antiheroes can be Fallen Angels. They can also be ginormous dicks of their own accord.

13. Swearing, drinking, taking drugs, and sleeping around is “bad boy behavior”? Nah. Almost everyone swears and drinks, and sleeping around or taking drugs doesn’t make you inherently bad.

16. Antiheroes can change. If you have an antihero protagonist, they should change because character arcs are important.

19. There is no way I would ever consider Edward Abusive Jerk Cullen as a classic hero.

I double checked the maximum horse speeds, and while doing 100 miles in a day is totally possible for fit endurance horses and endurance riders, 40mph is a flat sprint, and a horse and rider just can’t maintain that for more than a couple miles. (What I’m saying is; 100 miles is doable and 40mph is doable, but trying to do a hundred miles at that speed would kill the horse and/or rider).
