my prediction is that the overall message of the special will be “pandering by means of taking existing stories and soullessly repackaging them under the guise of inclusivity is shallow virtue signaling and we shouldn’t treat marginalized characters like a checklist; we should write stories organically” (<- a truth) but they will conflate properties made with poor intentions with properties made by poc or queer ppl who actually write their minority characters with care. being pleasantly surprised or horribly let down by those libertarian men are equally likely possibilities if im being honest
