so i’m bipolar and i stubble across some reg!bipolar fics and yes, sure, i can see it maybe but not entirely

but i had once read bipolar james fic and oh my god. i cried so hard i was actually scared. and it’s not about angst. it’s about representation. i liked reading about my mental disorder being portrait through james because he is expected to be the sunshine character. he is energetic and kind and all and all. and he has so much guilt in him for being not well that he tries to hide. because he is the one who comforts. he thinks so.

because asking for help is okay as long as he is not the one asking.

and accepting that he is not well is harder than accepting others.

always the saviour. never the victim.
