It was a regular beautiful morning, the start of a wonderful brand new day. Or at least…that’s what Caster wished it was. But that was far from the truth. She had come to realize that the presence of the Grail, as well as the Grail War, had faded and nothing was left. Because of her own magic capabilities she would be able to stay in this world a little longer but…soon enough she too would disappear.

Her beloved Master just didn’t have enough mana or proper magic circuits to sustain her in this world without the Grail. That’s why she knew no matter how much she wished for it, she would not be able to stay here with him forever. It was their day off today so, she decided that she would make one last fun memory and then accept her fate. Which is why after the usual morning routine and after finishing breakfast she beamed at him.

“Guy-Samaaa~! You know, we haven’t had many days off so today is a great opportunity! We should go outside and have a date~ Besides, it’s a really nice day today!”

"That's pretty out of the blue..."

A few slow and confused blinks followed after the blonde heard his partner's random proposition. It was true they didn't see each other much out of their shared room, but he didn't think too much of it until just now. Since she mentioned it, it might have been a little inconsiderate for him not to have proposed a day out beforehand.

Turning his head to look outside, he had to agree it'd be a waste to spend their free day indoors. "You're right about it being a nice day though." Thinking about it further, it's not like he had work to catch up on or any at all and he hadn't done much to fulfill his promise of helping Caster with her wife-training since they arrived. As long as they kept their usual distance, he couldn't see any real problems happening.

Finally nodding his head, Guy returned his look with a calm smile. "Alright, fair enough. Have any ideas about where to go?"

Arietta had decided that she would attempt to attend all of her classes today. That is if she could even find them. Not only was it a large academy, she also had a terrible sense of direction. It’s why she always relied on her friends to lead the way but unfortunately they didn’t know their way around the school either. Arietta couldn’t bring them to class anyway, or at least that’s what Sync had told her.

“…I’m lost.” Where am I supposed to go? I don’t know how to find any of my classes…I don’t know anyone who could help me either…What am I supposed to do? Most of the classes were over anyway but Arietta didn’t know that, someone should tell her or at least help her not be lost.

Guy's eyes could be deceiving him, but it would be pretty for him to mistake that face for anyone else's. The youngest God General was definitely standing a few meters away from him. Guy didn't hold any particular grudge against her or anything, but approaching someone who should be dead seemed a bit off. Maybe Dist really did start doing weird replica experiments after all...

In that case, it'd be wrong of him to leave her be. They should merely be teacher and student now, no past misgivings involved. As long as Ion wasn't around, Arietta was the least combative of that entire group anyway. It was also pretty clear she didn't have her monsters to pick a fight. With that in mind, the coast seemed clear for the noble to carefully approach the young student.

"It's surprising to see you around here, Arietta. Why're you in school so late?"

Caster just shook her head silently when Guy seemed to not completely appreciate her actions. She was happy he was so self-efficient and all but Caster would be happier if he relied on her a bit more. Besides even if she couldn’t carry him in her own body, she’d still try to help him out with walking if he was sick. Oh well, maybe one day Guy will let Caster support him fully so for now she’ll just do as much as she can for him. Like making breakfast.

“Hmm, what am I making?” Now that was a good question, she had thought of something earlier but with her being so worried about Guy, Caster forgot what she was going to make. Well…let’s see what we have around here first and maybe I’ll be able to make something that Guy-Sama will really like! With how much he had just been freaking out, Caster would like to be able to do something nice for him to make him feel better.

“Hmm…” There were a lot of things she could make, but what was the best thing to have for breakfast right now? Ah, there! “Well there’s plenty of ingredients here so I’m going to be making steamed rice, miso soup, tamagoyaki, and broiled fish. I’ll make sure to give this breakfast all I have so don’t you worry about a thing Guy-Sama!”

So on Caster went to prepare their breakfast. Time-skip, but not a big one because she didn’t take very long, to when she’s finished, Caster brought out the food to the living room table. As well as plates and eating utensils for the both of them, oh and drinks, she brought drinks too.

Guy wasn't 100% caught up on the details of Japanese meals yet, but he was open for some culinary adventures. "Then I'll leave it up to you." To be honest, he was always a sucker for some well made seafood, but he wasn't sure if he ever mentioned that to Caster before. In any case, he had absolutely no complaints!

Patiently waiting during that smooth as eggs time-skip, he couldn't help but be impressed by Caster's constant attentiveness to detail. Being spoiled like this every now and then wasn't bad at all. She was supposedly a wife-in-training, but she probably matched any average Joe's idea of perfect wife. Though she was more like a house husband as long as she was in his body.

Approaching her before even looking at the meal, he felt like he should thank her one last time. "Hey, Caster, thanks for everything." He turned to her with a gentle smile. "I was being pretty silly earlier, so thanks for putting up with me, haha." He slowly reached out a hand, stopping it in midair for a moment. But he returned to his previous action, running his fingers through her(his?) blonde hair in an appreciative head pat.

Finding the action a lot easier to do than expected, Guy turned back to go eat with a satisfied look. "If-- No, when we turn back to normal, I want to try that again sometime." That was probably much easier said than done, but it was definitely a goal he wanted to reach eventually.

"So let's hope we get out of this soon." Natural lady killer through and through right here.

Caster couldn’t help but laugh a little when she saw how embarrassed, and adorable, Guy was being. Though maybe it was only adorable because it was Caster’s body but oh well. “Guy-Sama, you’re still a little weak from the shock of all this so I’m just helping you get to somewhere where you can rest.” And with Guy’s body it was quite easy to do something like this.

“So please, stay still Guy-Sama. I don’t want to accidentally drop you!” Because that would be horrible for the both of them. Guy would be hurt and well, Caster’s body would be hurt too. Although, Caster worried more about Guy getting hurt than her own body being damaged a little. After all, even like this Caster would protect her Master from any and all harm.

“Backwards?” She wondered if he meant how it’s usually the male who carries the female. But that’s why was happening right now anyway, physically at least. “Well Guy-Sama, as your Servant it’s my duty to take care of you no matter the situation. So for me, this seems perfectly normal.”

Caster had to hold in her next bout of laughter because she thought it was so amusing that Guy was pouting. It was a bit odd to see it happen with her body but knowing it was really Guy doing the action made it really adorable to Caster. Finally setting Guy on the couch Caster smiled at him, “Well just take it easy Guy-Sama. I’ll go make breakfast.”

At the mention of 'Servant', Guy finally remembered the actual meaning behind the term. "Oh, that's right..." He never exactly took their whole Master/Servant dynamic too seriously and he was far more used to treating 'Master' and 'Servant' as mere formalities and he and Caster were just equals with funny titles. He didn't have much interest in abusing his Master privileges either.

"Well I'm not so lazy a Master that I wouldn't walk on my own. Sick or not," he affirmed. He didn't want to appear so helpless now. Not that he didn't appreciate everything, but Guy was quite a firm believer in being self-sufficient having lived the good majority of his life that way before. Next time, he wouldn't be so easy to grab. If there was ever a next time.

Plopping down safely on the couch, he didn't even register he stopped shaking for a while. He was a bit too distracted by the conversation to think about it. After listening to her words, he returned her grin. "Thanks. I'll make it up to you later."

Maybe he'd be able to sneak into the kitchen and make dinner before she could cook. It's been a while since he could try his hand in the kitchen, so it might make a decent surprise. Well, he'd figure that out later. Breakfast first! "So what're you making anyway?"

Caster was still freaking out and basically in tears because it was probably her fault that Guy wasn’t feeling well. But she had to put aside her worries so that she could properly listen to her Master. So she forced herself to calm down and looked right at Guy, waiting for him…her to gather their words. Eh? I don’t understand…is Guy-Sama alright after all? So I was just worrying for nothing? but no, it’s much better that he’s alright!

“So you’re really not sick? I’m so glad! I was so worried about you Guy-Sama, ahh I don’t know what I’d do if there was something wrong with you. It would be my fault too because it’s a Servant’s duty to take care of their Master! Not to mention…” It’s also a wife’s duty to make sure her husband is well-taken care of. But Caster had to remember she hadn’t fulfilled her promise yet…as Guy was so demonstrating by being horrified in Caster’s body.

“As long as you’re alright, that’s all that matters!” Really, Caster could have hugged Guy right now. But Guy wouldn’t like that so she restrained herself. Besides, she wasn’t really sure if she could control her, or rather his, own strength in Guy’s body. “Yes so let’s get you to the living room at least so you can sit on the couch.” Caster had said, but she realized that Guy wasn’t moving his, or her, body. Hmm..maybe…Guy-Sama is too weak to move after all? Ohh…I know he won’t like it too much but there’s no other choice!

Immediately, Caster picked up Guy bridal-style and exited the bathroom into the living room. Wow, I never knew I was this light…or maybe Guy-Sama is just really strong. It’s both, it’s both. For there weren’t many girls who would want to admit they were anything but light.

He honestly just expected her to move back or step out of the way so he could walk past. Little did Guy know he'd be so effortlessly scooped up like he weighed nothing at all. Stuttering out some unintelligible words, he flailed about slightly, not sure what to do with himself. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. What're you doing?!"

It was actually pretty obvious what she was doing, but he was having a hard time accepting his position. Hey, he was a regular man and had a healthy amount of male pride. No matter how it was looked it, he had been showing off his embarrassing side for a while. He deserved the right to complain a little!

"Isn't this a little backwards?" Despite his previous discomfort, he couldn't help but snark at this turn of events. Er-- well, physically it looked normal. But he should be picking up her, but only when they in their proper bodies and--! It was just awkward!

With a slight pout, he settled on tapping the heels of his feet together until he was back on the ground. Fighting it any more than that would just be petty, considering she was just trying to make his life easier. Besides, this was probably as close as his body would get to a girl for a while. Too bad he couldn't even enjoy it properly.

Caster had to admit, it wasn’t all too strange for her to see herself in front of her for there were a few times where she had to hide from people so she used a decoy. Though it was a bit different this way considering the fact it was apparent that she had switched bodies with Guy. If anything though, Caster was more worried about her Master because he, or she, seemed to look a bit pale and out-of-sorts.

She had immediately teared up the moment she believed there was something wrong with Guy, besides the whole body-switching thing, worried that he could be terribly ill. “Guy-Sama, are you alright? You shouldn’t push yourself too hard if you’re not feeling well! Please go back to bed, you look pale. I’ll go make you some food that won’t be difficult for you to eat!”

Yes, she was mostly tuning out what Guy, Caster, oh my Yulia body-switching is confusing so whatever, was saying. Her Master’s well-being was more important than anything else to her so she just wanted to do all she could to make him healthy and comfortable. “I’m sorry Guy-Sama! It’s probably due to my negligence that you’ve become unwell, I’ll make sure to help you recover your health as soon as possible!” Internally, she was freaking out more because Guy had started to shake.

Though at least before she was going to just up and carry herself, that is such a weird sentence, Caster finally caught the words Guy was saying. “I’m afraid I don’t know how we’ve gotten into this situation Guy-Sama…but now please, head to bed. You look, I look, like I’m about to faint.”

Though Guy still couldn't stop himself from shivering, he quickly took notice to the tears forming in his body's -- or Caster's? -- eyes. He was a bit confused at all this talk of being sick, but with the way he was shaking that's what most normal people would assume, wasn't it? A guilty expression formed on his face as he tried to return to his normal, calm self. "N-no, that's not it..."

"It's not your fault at all. I just--" He paused, lips pressing into a thin line. He was just being stupidly scared again. And though Caster was pretty well aware of his fear, he found it hard to admit aloud. Not only was it a bit of a rough topic for him, but he recognized it made Caster equally as uncomfortable, as if he was wordlessly insulting her every time he flinched away. Just thinking about it that way made Guy annoyed at his own behavior.

Shaking his head, he spoke again, "Nevermind... I'm sorry." With a shameful sigh, he decided to just give in without a fuss. The longest he hesitated, the more he worried the Servant. Maybe he'd bring up the topic later, but standing wide eyed in the bathroom didn't seem like the proper time or place. And, honestly, the way his legs were wobbling before made it feel like he couldn't stay standing for too much longer.

This body definitely wasn't his, but that's all the more reason for him to take care of it. So he had no right to go fainting and hurt Caster's body in the process. "...Y-yeah, you're right. I guess I'll just sit down." Although he said that, he made no actual effort to move. Caster stood between him and the doorway after all.

In any case lets rewind to way early in the morning, way before the above stuff even happened. For you see, Caster usually wakes up much earlier than Guy to clean up the room, prepare breakfast, etc etc and then wakes up Guy if he hasn’t already woken up.

So when she woke up today, of course she felt something was a little off. Hmm…I wonder why I feel heavier all of a sudden…and why my clothes feel weird…and why my-it was then that she took a look at what she was wearing more closely. These clothes…they look like…and those gloves too…these aren’t… Caster stared at these articles of clothing with a confused expression.

“Wait…can it be?” Quickly, but quietly she went over to the nearest mirror.

“…” For many, many, many moments she, or rather he, just stared at the reflection in shock and a little bit of awe. It was apparent that somehow Caster had turned into her Master. Magic? An illusion technique? She didn’t really know…but for now it didn’t really pose as any danger. It would just be bad if any other masters or servants decided to attack them.

For a moment, Caster let herself bask in the wonderfulness of being “one” with her beloved Master. Then, she decided that even if she was her Master she should still focus on going on with her usual morning routine before Guy woke up. But then after a while she heard a scream.

“GUY-SAMA!?”

Caster/Guy ran quickly towards where they heard the scream, not even shocked that it was her own voice. When she finally reached him, or was it when he finally reached, it was made certain. The Master and Servant has switched bodies.

Okay, Guy, everything's alright. It's just his own body appeared in front of him, and, you know, he's not the one in it. Totally normal. Blankly staring at his own face, he wasn't really sure what to say. He swallowed down whatever was causing him to hesitate, though his voice shook due to his own uncontrollable shivering.

"C-Caster? That's you, right?" He could still put two and two together, despite the shock of it all. If he was in Caster's body, she should reasonably be in his. That would only make sense, even if this entire switch defied logic. But the fact that he actually had to look up to see his own face was incredibly jarring.

"How is this p-possible?" He mused, trying to assume his usual thinking position of placing a hand to his chin. However, he couldn't help but notice his arm pressing against some... assets his previous body lacked and promptly held his arms out to his sides in a robotic stance. He wasn't even sure how he was going to function like this. He couldn't even stop shaking!

In any case, he had questions! And he should ask those before his voice became too incoherent to understand. "Er, well, do you know what happened?"

Okay, Gailardia, pull it together! Guy paced around outside the school entrance, softly patting his cheeks in a weak attempt to slap some sense into himself. Whatever weird magic or machine caused this, it wasn't something to lose his head over. Weirder things have happened.

Okay. No-- What a lie. But if he kept his cool he could definitely switch himself back. No need to go screaming himself into some phobia-induced coma yet. It wasn't like he could even see himself properly if he just kept his chin up. This should be no problem! Hah hah!

As his own desperation sunk in, Guy started to feel a bit guilty. It sounded like he was truly disgusted with his current body, rather, being female. Being surprised at the situation should be nothing but normal, but he could barely look at himself due to his own fear. Stuck in a pretty girl's body and he was more terrified than anything.

"How pathetic..." He mumbled in self pity, not even watching where he was stepping anymore. Maybe this was actually an opportunity, like shock therapy to get rid of his gynophobia. Pacing around in thought once more, he let out a tiny squeak of surprise as he felt his tail carelessly smack into someone.

"Oh, s-sorry." He quickly backed off, looking apologetic for his inattention. Actually he forgot he even had that tail. "Are you alright?"

Guy really should have noticed it immediately -- how light his body felt as he got up, the loose strands of pink hair in front of his face. It wasn't until he looked out into his apartment's living room where things seemed off. Was he even on his side of the room?

Putting the thought out of mind, he wiped the tired feeling from his eyes. Now he was sure something was off..! Pulling away to stare at his hand, small and dainty and... obviously not his. His eyes trailed up his sleeved arm and towards his own body and... oh. Those are-- ...

No way..! That can't be right!

"Mirror..!" He repeated the word rapidly as he darted around the apartment for the restroom. All the while he ignored the high pitch of his voice and heavy swaying of his newly found tail behind him.

Nearly slamming the door open, Guy met eye to eye with his feminine reflection. Slowly he brought his hands up, fingers twitching as he dared them to bring them closer to his(?) own face. He wasn't sure if it was his own fear or sheer disbelief preventing him from closing the gap between his fingers and skin, but he couldn't doubt it anymore.

This was Caster's-- rather, his body, wasn't it...? Yeah, okay. That was easy enough to grasp. Now to react in the only natural way for a grown ass twenty-one year old man should react,

Unconsciously, Caster’s tail had begun to swish from left to right happily when Guy entered the room. It’s a good thing in between her thoughts she had actually cleaned the whole room and organized all of their things. Truly, the room was perfect, obviously Caster was doing well in her quest to become a good wife.

Looking closely at his expression, she realized that he was surprised and maybe a bit mortified to see her in their room. I just wanted to surprise him…is being around me so bad? But she mentally shook the thought away from her head, she knew he had some trauma about girls. It wasn’t her fault so she shouldn’t think it is.

“Hello Master, I’m glad you were able to make it here safely.” She wondered if he had realized that they were placed in the same room. In any case she did blush lightly when he thanked her, she was always good with words of praise. “It was really no problem at all, Master!” And then there it was, he didn’t realize they were going to be living together.

How should she say it? Hmm, well straight out is always the way to go isn’t it?

“But Master, I am relaxing in our room. You’re right Master, it was a long trip so I think it’s best if we both rest for today.” Her face was slightly flushed, but perhaps that was because she had remembered a bit of the stray thoughts she had when she was cleaning earlier.

And there was that click. The realization he'd assumed something wrong this whole time.

"...A-ah. 'Our' room?"

Blankly staring at her face, it took him a moment for him to believe her words. Taking a better look around the room dispelled his doubts. Sure enough, her items were prepared as if she were staying in the same room. Honestly, he probably should've expected it.

"Haha, really?" Laughing lightly, Guy decided to calmly accept it. It wasn't like he wasn't somewhat used to this with the whole travelling together arrangement. But there was a noticeable difference between sharing a room at an inn for a day and permanently living together. As long as they could keep a healthy distance from each other, he couldn't imagine there being too many problems. "Well... I guess that's fine."

If it was going to be this way though, then maybe... "Now that I think about it, you probably shouldn't call me 'Master' in school, you know? Just Guy's fine." He was a bit iffy about the formality since the beginning, being called Master after abandoning his status for so long. But considering their new situation it seemed like a fine time to bring it up again.

He couldn’t surpass the nervous giggle that had formed. Here he’d thought this guy was going to to put him through an interrogation. Or poke his nose in some business that didn’t concern him. Kaito was glad it wasn’t the case. It would have gotten ugly.

“Surprisingly, I actually know where that hallway is in this maze of a school. You go down this hallway, pass the lockers, then take a right. Then the second hallway on the left should be the language hallway.”

Making a mental map of the directions given, Guy nodded to himself in understanding. "The second hallway on the left... This school's more complicated than I thought." If he included all the all he ran down on that map the building was looking incredibly convoluted. It must've been ten times worse for students that had to remember the locations of eight different classrooms.

But, eh, that's high school.

"Thanks. You're a student, right? Guess I'm making a bad impression as a teacher by asking for directions." The blonde grinned, lightly mocking himself. "I'm Guy Cecil. I'm supposed to start teaching here soon, so I look forward to seeing you around"

As long as he knows how to read and write he’ll do fine. And as I recall you did teach him how to read and write, right?” That was mostly sarcasm, don’t trust it. “I wonder if there are any German articles that would prove useful…” Jade they don’t know German. At this rate it seemed like no student would be able to pass without getting help from someone. In fact, Jade would probably send them all over the school to complete assignments. Give them a Latin article and make them go to the Latin teacher to translate, it ended up having some large complex math equation, make them go to the calculus teacher to explain, in order to test the theory a machine is needed; to the mechanics teacher! Physics? More like integrated sciences.

‘“You have to entertain to teach? My, my, school must have changed since I last attended.” From his memory it was: Teacher gives information, student receives and stores it. Why must entertainment be added to that? “Though, I do feel you would lose them all rather quickly. You tend to go ahead when you get excited.” Start with how a light bulb works, end with the quantum mechanics of a satellite.

“But I must say, Dist is the reason I disagree with your choice.” A small pause, his grin becoming a bit more cynical. “What if he turns his students into cyborgs, paints them all pink and orange, and gives them ridiculous names?” Or uses them for replica experiments… “Are you prepared to carry the responsibility for not watching him?”
