What's the money like for a talented designer + developer like yourself?

The exact number, if that is what you’re looking for, varies wildly. Last week we finished a site for €50, yesterday we signed a contract for a site 342 times that. Today we launched one that paid nothing but goodwill. I’m far more comfortable than I should be, considering that I would probably be doing this in the downtime of another job if I had to, simply because its what I enjoy doing. I don’t think most designers remind themselves enough that, at least in my opinion, we quite possibly have one of the best jobs available. If you think for a second about what an average day involves, its almost ridiculous.

In saying all this, I’m certainly not making enough money to warrant finally getting myself that Acronym jacket.
