Progress
I know I’ve been on hiatus for a LONG time and I do apologize but it’s been really hectic lately. I’ve just finished my final year of university, which means I am officially a law graduate (YAY!) More good news: I’ve increased my water weight, which makes up 49% of my body weight, my muscle weight has increased to 28% which leaves my body fat percentage to 23%. I still need to work on increasing my muscle weight, which means more core/strength training for me and less of the complex carbs. My weight has been very inconsistent due to the endless travelling (and with travelling comes eating all the good, delicious, exotic food and not really counting the calories) but I guess my body deserves a break from all that stress I’ve accumulated before graduation.
Anyways, I have new smoothie recipes as well as new juices that I’ve been trying out and I promise to share them with you as soon as I can. My new favourite smoothie is now dragon fruit blend, which consists of blending dragon fruit, blueberries and kale with coconut water. It is very high in fibre, therefore really good for those who have trouble emptying bowels. However, since I am back in Brunei, the blueberries aren’t as great as the ones from the UK but I guess it’ll do for now. On top of that, I have been drinking more nutbased milk like soy and almond, but I’ve also started making my own pine nut milk. I’ve also been drinking lemon water. I’ll be honest: it is much easier to eat and drink the way I do in the UK as ingredients are more accessible and much cheaper compared to Brunei, but it is worth it. You’ll discover a newfound energy, as I have since I started 3 years ago and you will love it. Trust me.
I promise to post more recipes regularly now and I’ll make sure to never abandon my blog again.
Love, Aziimah.
