“Happy White Day,” Souji parroted while looking at the chocolates. She really did all of this for him. “Lorna, these are purr-fect.” He leaned down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

She was very doubtful of that, but she wouldn’t burst his bubble. He was just blessed with an ability she could never learn. It happened to everyone!

“He’s not wrong. A lot of the customers I get in the shop are always happy when I remember their favorites. I think we might actually have a list…” But Teddie’s ability was much more impressive. The flower shop was a lot smaller, and had a smaller clientele. Nothing like Junes, so Teddie being able to remember so much…it was impressive.

“I think it’s good for him, being able to interact with so many new people. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that bear happier.”

Well now, that was an interesting fact.

“…he does? Seriously?”

“That sounds like a good idea. Is it hard to keep up a list like that?” He was mildly curious. That being said, it was true that Teddie made all of those mental notes in his head. No one could say he wasn’t intelligent, even if he used that ability in strange ways.

“I think it’s good for him, too. He needs to get more socialized to people who aren’t close friends.”

And yes. Yes, that was an interesting fact, wasn’t it?

“He does. I often smell strawberries on him, and I’ve found that he likes the flavoring in food as well.”

And suddenly, the prickling feeling of the sun against her skin was gone. Had she done it, had she finally found a way to enjoy the sunlight once more!? Did her body finally realize that it could last in the light of day? Wait, what was that shadow cast over her? Oh!

“Souji? When did you get here?” And more importantly, how exactly did he know the sun was bothering her? Was that a hellhound thing? She really needed to dig up the research on those, no vampire had actually had one in a long time.

“…you don’t have to do that, I’m fine, honest!” She gave the hoodie a slight tug, as if that settled the matter.

“O-oh... I haven’t been here long? I was in the area and thought I should check up on you.” Lorna, was code for ‘I felt you burning up in here and needed to help’. Despite her telling him he didn’t have to block the sun for her, Souji refused to budge. That wasn’t happening. He was doing this out of his own free will. 

“But I want to do this? I’ll move if you really want me to, but...” he won’t like it. His protective nature didn’t want her anywhere near that sun.
