I'll probably use this blog from now on to repost posts of others asking for help, or of other things I deem of importance. Hopefully it can seperate them from my usual reblog-dump blog. I know it isn't a groundbreaking thing to do, but some posts feel like they deserve more serious focus than others, and it feels more fitting to use the blog that was focused around a channel trying to stand out and do something different and effective.
Guys, your support and compassion💙 for the people of Gaza have been a source of strength and hope for us in a time when the pain is beyond words. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your humanity and for standing with us.
We are living through a harsh reality that no language can fully describe. Even though we ask for financial help to survive, what we feel from this community goes far beyond money. We feel that there are people who believe in the justice of our cause, hear our voices, and see our suffering.
I deeply appreciate everyone supporting Gaza families, but I hope that influential bloggers ✨🌟 who adopt certain campaigns remember that many other families are living under similar devastating conditions. Most of these campaigns represent real families struggling just to survive.
As many of you know, I have been working for over two years to share my family’s campaign and raise awareness.
My father is seriously ill and needs urgent treatment and care. My family struggles to meet even the most basic needs, and I spend long hours every day sharing the campaign and asking for support, often at the expense of my studies, especially as education is now difficult with schools inside tents and limited internet access. Most of my recent posts have focused on my father’s situation, because it is urgent and close to our hearts.
We feel that there are people who believe in the justice of our cause, hear our voices, and see our suffering.

Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because that’s what they can afford and they still don’t go to a food bank, im not sure if it’s because they’re embarrassed or maybe if you didn’t grow up going you don’t know much about it but if you’re financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation
Btw if you have dietary restrictions you can often let them know and in many cases they’ll prioritize certain items for you

Fuckkkk okay my internet has been shut off and my power is getting shut off tomorrow. I owe $80 for the internet and $157 for the power and I’m freaking out because idk what to do and with it getting colder out I’m really worried about my cat getting cold

I hemmed and hawed over making this post but in the end I suppose I must. For understandable reasons, I keep details about my life private other than a few vent posts here and there but I am in a vulnerable situation. Probably the most vulnerable I've been in years.
As noted above, I am in uncertain employment (a fixed term contract) and living in unstable conditions. It has reached a point where I am seriously looking into fleeing my house because I am not safe. I don't feel comfortable going into details but my story isn't much so different from other instances of black women suffering in silence. I am not asking you to help me survive because I have done that on my own so far and I intend to keep doing so. However, in surviving, I will have to make sacrifices and publishing the rest of my books will likely be one of them.
If you have any care at all for my series and want to see it continue, it would mean the world to me if you would donate towards this ko-fi goal. As mentioned, I will make a note of every donator and gift them a free ebook of the books in the trilogy personally and if we surpass the goal I will look into giving you something else, should funding permit.
If you cannot donate but would still like to support me then promoting my books any way you can would do a lot to help garner interest and hopefully even put money in my pocket.

Yeah like this is what i have to survive on until the next pay day on May 19 due to having been out of work for a while after a surgery. My partner, our roommate, and I have to repay $1500 to cover a first months rent payment we weren't anticipating would be due until the actual first month we will be living on the property. I also have to pay around $800 to get the most urgent repairs on my car done so that it won't literally kill me while I'm driving. And I have to get groceries etc. to last until next pay period.
