reminder that makeup has no gender/is gender-neutral and when a transboy wears it, he’s still a boy and transgirls don’t need to wear it to be considered feminine
It’s so fucked when you lose your glasses like you need them to see so how are you supposed to look for them cause you can’t see shit
you do realize that people don’t turn blind when they don’t have glasses on right? Everything is just a little blurry
Yes thank you I’ve been wearing glasses for 10 years I know how it is when I can’t find mine which is why I made this post
sorry to break it to you all but being a fan of someone is not a competition, in competitions there are losers and winners, but in a fandom there are only losers and it’s all of us
For the second year in a row, the Oscars overlook actors and directors of color
Many of whom deserved nominations, without question.
i love in movies where the parents and kid fight.. and then later the parent goes and knocks on the child’s door …… and the parent apologizes and they have a healthy talk about what they fought about …. and then they hug it out? like …………… where in real life does that happen lmao
How kids react to trans kids.
(Shared by Jazz Jennings over at Facebook).
I want a fucking movement.
I want protests and laws and reforms and programs for trans and nonbinary rights.
I want transgender and nonbinary deaths to make just as many people angry as it did for Micheal Brown or Eric Garner.
I want more people to be educated on how gender works so we never have to have another slaughter like this again.
Make a big fucking deal about this. Don’t shut up about it. Give these deaths meaning. Give the world hell.
BOOST!
If you are reading this, it means that I have committed suicide and obviously failed to delete this post from my queue.
Please don’t be sad, it’s for the better. The life I would’ve lived isn’t worth living in… because I’m transgender. I could go into detail explaining why I feel that way, but…
I wish movies could be about LGBT characters without being written off as “gay movies”. Why don’t you just call it a “movie”? Nobody calls your movies “straight movies”.
Today, I found an old photo of my friends with Leelah and thought I would share it with you all after realizing I had met and spent time with her before months ago.
I think it’s important that people see how happy she is here and that she’s SMILING, despite all the grief her unwelcoming family has and continue to put her through even after death, which ultimately lead to her depression. This photo was taken at an LGBTQ Pride Event in Mason, Ohio, she was in a safe environment where she was completely free to be herself having felt the acceptance from the community. I only wish I knew she was hurting and I regret not getting to know her more after that day.
Leelah was very nice and funny, we had Graeters icecream together as a group, saw the drag show (which she was especially excited for), but I didn’t go on any of the amusement park rides with her because she liked the big roller coasters and I was terrified of those. It’s a fond memory and I hope to keep it safe in all this sadness of her passing and as we all continue to stay strong for her. We need to be activists in our own communities no matter how conservative to ultimately create an impact larger than ever before. Every life matters, speak up, create GSA’s, and spread tolerance in our society. It’s never too late to be fixed.
Rest in peace, we’re all heartbroken but all the same proud to carry on your fight in equality for all.
WHY DIDN’T THEY TEACH YOU ABOUT THIS IN HISTORY CLASS?
The Christian Movement for Life, aka, MOVE
a pro-green, vegan, anti-technology group
living in a house in West Philadelphia
BOMBED by the Philly PD, from the air, on May 13, 1985
YES, 1985!!!
the city killed 11 people (5 children), burned down 65 homes in a Black, middle-class, West Philly neighborhood, and caused $50,000,000.00 damage - all to “evict” the group and recover two shotguns
You know of Mumia Abu-Jamal (3rd photo from bottom) but did you know he was affiliated with MOVE?
Ramona Africa (2nd photo from bottom) and one child survived
MOVE leader John Africa was murdered that day
This was not the ONLY time an American city was bombed, btw. The first time, it was ALSO whites bombing Black people. And you want to talk about TERRORISM???
And what else don’t you know about your country and it’s treatment of Black people?
Get to Googling… AND Youtubing…
Children do not ask to be born
They don’t owe YOU anything.
They are not obligated to be your doll.
They are not obligated to live THEIR life they way YOU want.
They have fulfilled their obligation to you simply by being born.
THEY OWE YOU NOTHING,
YOU OWE THEM EVERYTHING
BECAUSE YOU WERE THE ONE WHO CHOSE TO MAKE THEM.
THEY are their own person, and they have every right to live their life their way.
