You see, it kind of gets boring waiting hours on end in a white void with like... nothing. So I thought, might as well do something to pass the time. I somehow haven't gotten my phone taken or broken in any way, so I'm hoping for the best :/

Truth is, I’m still figuring it out. If I had to pick though, I guess taking a walk or reading a book. nothing too special :/

Granny hums softly as the timer for the cookies goes off, waltzing over with her oven mits to remove the. Chocolate with Caramel Chunks, it'll be perfect for Victim, she's positive he's going to love them. She sets the first tray on top of the stove to cool a bit as she picks up the next, sliding it into the oven with a slight flourish.

Once the new tray is in, she starts to carefully move the cookies from the tray they were cooked in to the cooling rack and puts new balls of dough onto the cooling tray. Granny glances at the cookies and well... There's going to be a few dozen of them, Little Victory wouldn't mind her taking just one~

Theater bites into the cookie and smiles widely as she eats it. With it this warm, the caramel is still gooy and soft, and the cookie is perfectly crunchy. It tastes nearly perfect. There's a strange bitter undertone that she can't quite place, her chewing slowing as she swallows and takes another bite. It's... It's hard to tell what it is. She stuffs the rest in her mouth, focusing on the unknown flavor. Almost an... Almond flavor?

As she bites into a second, she starts to feel a bit light headed. Why is her head getting fuzzy? Her chest spasms as she puts down the half eaten cookie and begins to cough into her hand, heart seeming to go at a million miles an hour as she gasps between coughs, "s-some-something wrong... I-" she doubles over coughing harder and starting to visibly shake as her head swims.

Creachures mouth starts watering as Baba takes the cookies out of the oven. He grins, pushing up his sleeves as he hops over to the oven to watch the next set of cookies bake.

He turns to ask if he can have one, right as he watches her bite into a second cookie. He puts his hands on his hips, about to tell her off for eating without him, when he notices her strange expression.

Time slows down as she suddenly gasps and falls to her knees. No. No, something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong.

He doesn't remember walking over to her. He is just by her side before he can blink, gripping her shoulders. "Baba, Baba, what's happening?"

Theater can't think, her mind is muttled and she swears her ribs are going to crack open from the force of her heartbeat. She coughs more and wheezes, "P-Pos-sum, get- get help" she starts to cough again. She needs. She needs to do something but she can't remember what.

Before xe can even think, xe is running. Xe thunders up the stairs, slamming doors open, barely choking out cries for help. His jaw clacks shut, though, as he stumbles through a door and runs face-to-face with @forbidden-main-character and @10thechosenone11.

[ Cho jumps at the stick's loud and stumbling entrance, shocked as lightning itself. Energy roils inside as Chosen tries to brace herself for trouble- ]

[ Wait. That's just Creachure. Everything is fine. ]

[ Actually, scratch that. An Anon that spoke in Cho's ear warned em about something going on, but was horrifically vague as though it didn't really know either. Everything is not fine. ]

"What's going on, Creach?"

His eyes are wide, staring at the Chosens as if willing them to read his mind. Unfortunately, though he was on friendly terms with them due to living together at Theater's house for over a week now, they were not close enough that they could understand his nonverbal signals.

He gritted his teeth, wishing he knew proper sign language. Gesturing wildly at the stairs, he stumbled over, tugging at Cho's sleeve. Instead of words, he could only make involuntary squeaking noises, each one feeling like needles clawing up his throat.

He pulled out his phone, dialing 911 and shoving it into their hand.

He did realize, of course, that this wasn't very helpful at the moment, considering they still didn't know what was happening, but whatever.

[ Downstairs, afraid, hurry, can't speak, call the cops. Or something. That's what Chosen gleans from Creachure's gestures and weak noises. It hardly takes a second for her to understand. ]

[ She deletes the number off the phone screen, tries to shove it back into Creachure's hands, and runs down the stairs. Her heart skips a few beat and her feet skip a few steps. He braces himself for a fight. Whatever Creachure would have wanted to call the cops for, be it robbers or muggers or whatever petty crime, the Chosen One is certain he can handle them by intimidation alone. ]

[ They run, head and hands and heart and legs pounding. They run past the giant geometric bee-- alright, cool, game smuggling history, no time to think about that now. They run through the dining room-- leap onto and over the chairs around the table. They run into the kitchen- ]

[ and stops dead in her tracks seeing Granny on the floor. ]

Granny continues to kneel where she has fallen, coughing as she clutches her chest. When they hear someone approach, they manage to lift their head enough to look at Chosen. Nothing leaves their mouth but a pained wheeze and a soft whimper from how much her head is spinning. Maybe if she lays down-

Granny tips to the side, squeezing her eye shut as she does so, the world spinning to violently to even consider opening it as she gags.

[ The sight makes Chosen sick with horror. A familiar dizziness claws at their head. They try to pull themself together and focus. There's no blood spilt. Granny must have been attacked with blunt force. Maybe a rib was broken and now puncturing her lung? Would explain the wheezing. ]

[ And then Chosen notices Granny fall even further, now on her side with her eye closed. She reminds Chosen too much of a corpse. ]

"Josie- shit wait don't close your eyes-!"

[ This is bad. Cho can't focus on trying to find who or what sorry bastard did this to Granny if she also has to keep a too-watchful eye on Granny herself! ]

[ Cho musters the deepest breath he can, and lets the shout rip through his lungs and throat and the entire house like flames: ]

"CREACH! CHO-TWO! DOWN HERE! STAT!"

(Chosen sprints down the stairs, freezing as they catch a glimpse of the scene. What the hell had happened?)

(They shake themselves out of their trance, hurrying over towards the commotion.)

“Holy SHIT! Is she…”

(Whatever they were going to say faded into a series of incoherent chatter. Chosen took a breath, shaking their hands as they tried to articulate themselves.)

Her head is swimming and it hurts to even consider opening her eye. But she can hear that there are people around her. She takes a shaky breath and whines, "p... poi... poi-" she is cut off by the cookies very violently coming back up and out. As well as the rest of her lunch. She weakly wheezes, "ssnnn..." she groans and wants to get away from the vomit but she can not move.

Stumbling down the stairs, Creachure followed them back to the kitchen. He felt like he was going to pass out. Why is he so useless—?!

He cleared his throat. He needs to say something, anything—!

Speaking feels like clawing out his vocal cords, but when he reached the Chosens, he managed to choke out, "She... p-poisoned? Cookies. Bad—!" They're wasting time, why didn't he say this earlier—!?

The last word was more of a screech, but he ignored that, shoving his phone into Cho's hands once more, this time pressing the call button before doing so. "HELP. GEH... GET HELP."

With that, xe crumples to the floor next to Theater. He's still conscious, but seems too overwhelmed to fully function anymore.

[ Chosen looks at the cookies, wondering if she could try and taste the poison without also making herself deathly ill. Maybe if she just licks it and then washes her mouth out... ]

[ They lick a cookie. There's a certain bitterness under the chocolate that leaves Chosen's tongue raw. It's a familiar taste, a poison that Chosen had definitely challenged themself with back when they didn't fear mortality. ]

[ The ringing makes it hard for Cho to think. She looks down at Granny and Creachure, collapsed and on the barfed-upon floor. Her stomach churns in a visceral mortal disgust. ]

"Cho-two, help them up."

[ The phone rings in her hand- and a responder finally picks up. ]

There's no way in hell Cho can eat all of these, even if xe were to ignore doctors' orders on rebuilding eating habits post starvation. ]

[ But it'd be a shame to let the cookies go to waste. Granny's cooking deserves better than that. ]

[ So, Chosen makes it her mission to find someone else who would want some. She carries the tray in both hands and searches the house. ]

[ The first few rooms they pass by get no response. Nobody answers their knocks (or rather, kicks, since both hands are full.) And then they make it to a room they've definitely heard activity from, though didn't recognized as being Granny or Sky. @forbidden-main-character's room. ]

[ Cho can't help but laugh as well, partly thanks to her hearing herself, and partly thanks to Chosen laughing it off as well. ]

"I'm not that tall! You should've seen me ten years ago!"

[ Cho eventually composes herself. ]

"I'm good, the weather's- *snrk* Weather's also good."

[ Okay, maybe not completely composed. This is stupid funny. ]

"Granny tried to make me cookies when her memory wasn't all there. I can't have these. Want some?"

(Chosen chuckles. This is probably the happiest they've been for a while.)

Yeah sure, I'll take a cookie. What are you up to?

(Their eyes scan across the tray for a moment before they grab a cookie. Chosen stares at it for a moment before downing the entire thing. Cromch.)

[ After Cho finishes helping Granny with the bloodied nose, xe goes back to xeir room. There's still that tray of cookies that Granny made, sitting on the table. There's no way in hell Cho can eat all of these, even if xe were to ignore doctors' orders on rebuilding eating habits post starvation. ]

[ But it'd be a shame to let the cookies go to waste. Granny's cooking deserves better than that. ]

[ So, Chosen makes it her mission to find someone else who would want some. She carries the tray in both hands and searches the house. ]

[ The first few rooms they pass by get no response. Nobody answers their knocks (or rather, kicks, since both hands are full.) And then they make it to a room they've definitely heard activity from, though didn't recognized as being Granny or Sky. @forbidden-main-character's room. ]
