“Mister, why does Mister’s hair look like Mister has cat ears? Mister wears fancy suits a lot, is Mister, Big chest Lucy’s cat-eared butler person?” this child has no tact, nor a filter, so of course she simply asked her curiosity aloud without restraint, completely innocently.
lumenstella:
D-Demon ladies from the bad place?! Lucy knew she was rather…gifted, but hearing a child point it out point blank like that was definitely new. She sputtered for a moment, trying to think of some sort of response, but only crossed her arms protectively over her chest. “T-they’re not…th-that big…” she mumbled, cheeks burning. Surely there were others out there who were a lot more, er…endowed..right!? Ugh, it was probably best to just steer away from that topic entirely.
“Well…it’s probably not a bad thing on its own,” Lucy murmured, casting a quick glance around. “I mean it looks like I’m the only one who even noticed, but…maybe that’s just because I ran away from home too, so you just reminded me of myself when I first got here.” What a whirlwind that had been…Still, her father either hadn’t noticed or didn’t care, and that suited her just fine. “To not look lost, you just have to look like you know what you’re doing! Act like there’s a place you want to go and like you know how to get there!” …Wait, was that advice she should be giving in a situation like this?
She didn’t even know what the girl’s circumstances were. What had led a girl this small to running away? “Tell you what. Are you hungry? Why don’t we grab some burgers or something and you can tell me what made you decide to leave home? I’ll tell you my story too, if you want.” If she was just running away because she’d gotten in trouble or a fight with her parents, Lucy knew the responsible thing to do would be to notify someone…but if the situation was anything like her own…she wasn’t sure what she’d do.
“…You don’t have to add ‘big chest’ to my name! Just Lucy is fine!”
Abi blinked confused at why the older lady seemed to be defensive concerning having a large chest.. ah wait could it be she was mad at Abi for both mentioning and comparing her to those sucubus demon ladies from the bad place? that seemed likely... Abi probably misspoke again on accident.
Her once confused & curious face seeming a bit sullen compared to a minute ago she seemed like she was about to mumble something, when the blonde mentioned also running away from home. her expression losing any hint of feeling down, the small girl's eyes seemed to shine like a star. " Eh eh? Big Chest Lucy also ran away???? like Abi did? from a super super unfun home? really really? If Abi copies big chest lucy can Abi look like she knows what she's doing too? can she can she? But Abi doesn't know where she wants to go! Abi just never ever evvvver wants to re tarn home!" The words flew out a mile a minute, some words and sentences even seeming to merge together.
"Abi aaate the last of her candy two days ago!! Though...w hat's a burr...grrr?"
“Shizume city is strange....weird people who lure kids like Abi with lies, witches, and ladies with biiiiig chests like watermelons! Abi’s manga life begins?”

naivety || Sukuna & Abigail
@foreignerabigail
Sukuna couldn’t believe the scene that was unfolding in front of him.
Honestly, it was like some kind of movie, or maybe even a stranger danger PSA from years ago. He was silently enjoying the warm weather from the roof of a two-story building in the city, his legs dangling over the edge. He had gotten his habit of people watching while Jungle had been active, mostly because of the different missions he had been assigned that involved monitoring and watching over activities, but now it was something more like a hobby of his. It wasn’t as if he had anything else to do, really. So today as well, he was watching the people on the streets. And today, he was watching possibly one of the most infuriating things possible.
“You could be a star kid, I’m telling you! Models who become popular can earn a lot of money, you know! We’ll have to head to the office though for you to sign the contract, of course.”
The pushy ‘scout’ had been pestering the same kid who looked no older than twelve for a few minutes now. It wasn’t particularly interesting to him at first; scouts were a common sight, though some were clearly preying on inexperienced people, looking to trap them in an unbearable contract or unsavory work. Of course, no one was stupid enough to fall for something so ridiculous. Most people would’ve brushed the older guy off by now and went on their way, but this girl hadn’t budged. Still, he figured she’d stop giving him attention soon enough.
Continuing to watch quietly from above, Sukuna took a small sip from the soft drink he had gotten before climbing to the roof, his mental commentary bouncing around in his head. ‘Hmph…of course no one would actually fall for such a stupid…she’s falling for it?!’
Was she some kind of idiot?! This obviously was some kind of trick, but she seemed somehow, like she believed every word he told her. It filled him with a quiet rage, seeing an adult take advantage of some kid who clearly had no idea of the terrible lies and manipulation tactics rotten adults used. And yet he didn’t stand up. Instead he reached over for his scythe’s staff, gripping it tightly with one hand as the other sat beside him, curled into a fist. She wouldn’t actually decide she wanted to go with him…would she?
Abigale had was more naive than your average kid in japan, a lot more. Partly due to her nature itself, but also partly due to how sheltered from society she was when growing up til she chose to 'escape' runaway.
While a normal kid probably would have suspicions and be more caution, she didn't really have any thought in her head to doubt the strange man who had come up to her that began spouting things about becoming a model, a star and something about money and a contract.
A star or model were like those people in those fancy magazines or on the moving pictures in the city right? they got to wear things her classmates used to call fashionable so if she became one they'd call her fashionable too right? well not that she'd be going back to that school anyway so maybe it didn't matter. Though what could hurt by seeing how becoming a model and star works! So of course the naive child was falling for this con and agreed to go with the strange man with sparkles in her eyes.
lumenstella:
“Big…chest…?” Lucy’s eyebrow twitched slightly, her smile looking strained for a moment. She didn’t think she’d ever known a kid to just come out and say something like that. It’s not like it was wrong, but having it pointed out so point blank was embarrassing! “M-My name is Lucy,” she continued, forcing herself to recover quickly. It wasn’t like the girl had meant any harm by it, after all.
Still, she was wearing a ton of bows. Was that popular these days? Not that she’d have any idea about that, only able to catch up on the latest trends because she wasn’t stuck in that mansion. “Well…you looked a little lost, with a giant backpack,” Lucy answered, tilting her head slightly as her smile turned sympathetic. She’d hoped the girl’s circumstances would be different but.. “It was the same thing for me when I first got here.” She’d had no idea where she was going, really. There hadn’t been any planning at all.
“Ah, no, I was asking if there was a place you were trying to go. Like a park or something. Shizume’s kind of a maze when you’re new.” Especially for someone as young as the girl before her. Still, the situation…was this girl running away for the same reason she had?
Well, not that Lucy shared that information–only with certain people. Loke was the only one she’d really told, but even then, she’d only given the bare minimum. Nothing about how she was a rich heiress and all that time she’d spent alone in that huge mansion after her mother passed. One day though, when she was ready, she’d tell him.
Abi nodded at the blonde woman, thinking the question was a literal one. "Mm! Miss Lucy has a realllly big chest like balloons or watermelon or those demon ladys from the bad place!" the young girl waved her arms around as to emphasize what she was saying.
She tilted her head to the side frowning slightly. Was her backpack suspiciously large for a kid like her? Did this mean she failed at running away? that wasn't good at all, after all she now had freedom to do things other kids could do, if she got sent back it'd all go away and she'd probably have to sleep on the floor in a smaller empty room as punishment. "uuu... is it bad if Abi's backpack is really big? What should Abi do to not look lost?"
"Abi wants to stay here til she's a grown up so big chest lucy should tell Abi how to not get caught yes! a comp liss! partner in crime!"

fellow runaways || abigail & lucy
@foreignerabigail
Maybe it was because she’d run away from her father that she’d felt a strange twist in her stomach when she saw the small blonde girl with the backpack that looked almost too big for her tiny frame. She recognized the lost look on her face as she glanced around, as if she was wondering where she should go. Lucy had worn that very same look on her face when she’d first arrived, and even now, she hadn’t heard a peep out of her father. Maybe he hadn’t even noticed she was gone….that was just going to make her grumpy though, so she’d leave the thought there.
She pursed her lips, knowing if she just walked away, she’d worry about the girl for the rest of the day. With that in mind, she made her way over, adjusting the strap of her purse.
“Hey,” she greeted with a small smile. “I couldn’t help but notice..you look a little lost. Did you come here by yourself?” Not that she’d seen any adult nearby, but she certainly hoped a girl this young hadn’t run away by herself and that the gut feeling she’d had was wrong.
“Are you looking for a particular place?”
This city really was big and different from the part of Tokyo she'd been from. It confused her why the roads and stuff were different since she figured all cities would be made similarly, like a copy of each other. she'd only been here a couple days, but she really didn't think she'd run out of snacks that quickly. Earlier she did try to grab food from a convenience store but was kicked out once caught trying to open some of the food inside the store.
It'd been a few hours since then so she was attempting to figure out both where to go and where to find a store with nice people who wouldn't say she was lying when she insisted she had already paid.
The blonde lady had surprised the small girl. She tilted her head to the side slightly, a wonder how not a single bow out of the 10+ adorning her hair and collar of her dress didn't fall out of place. "Huuu? How did big chest lady know Abi came to this place all by herself? Abi was super sneaky after all...." a small pout appeared on her face, misunderstanding the girl's comment.

dairokutenheir:
Well, she wasn’t sure who this Tatara person was, but when it was explained like that, she could definitely understand why it was needed. But it still felt boring when considered with the fact that people just had these powers. That there were people out there who could just share their power with others and form clans like this. It sounded like the plot of a video game, but it was real.
“I get it. It’s probably a necessary thing to make sure who to keep an eye on if someone’s runnin’ around causing some kind of trouble,” she stated, rubbing her chin. At the very least, she had no plans of causing trouble but if it was something required of her in order to officially be considered part of this clan..she’d do it. She’d been resolved to do whatever it took from the moment she walked through the door.
A soft, wry laugh escaped her. “Something like that. They’re big history buffs or something,” she waved it off before blinking. “Hm? Oh, nah, I just said that because you called me Miss earlier!” she laughed easily, waving her hand again. “I was just sayin’ that’s too formal, so just calling me by my name, Nobu, is fine!”
Her name. Not the name of some stuffy old warlord from the past.
“Hm..” Anna’s strain powers allowed her insight and if she really wanted to pry she could learn if her new clansman was being forthcoming or not. For now, she was sure what she was saying was only half right. She felt a bit conflicted. Was it better to respect her new clansman and not pry? Or should she pry specifically because it was her clansman? Neither knew the other too well.
“Very well, Nobu..” Nobu did have a cute ring to it, but whether or not it was truly her real name or not would be revealed eventually. She could simply ask Kusanagi to look into her. That wasn’t really their style though. Mikoto had accepted Shuhei even when he had ulterior motives for joining the clan in the beginning, but now he was a precious member of her family. Ultimately, she decided to drop it. For now.
Well, now that that was over with and the formalities out of the way.. What was left was introducing her to the others. That was the plan until something on the floor caught the younger girl’s attention. She knelt down and picked it up, noting how it looked like a wallet but with a flame design. It looked as if it could belong to anyone in Homra, honestly. It was better to confirm and she was curious so she flipped it open.
She could see just a bit of green poking out from one of the folds but the way the wallet bulged out told her that it was likely an exorbitant stack of money there. That wasn’t what interested her. Her eyes moved from the money to the ID which was tucked inside of a clear pocket. The picture showed mug shot of the girl standing before her. Well, that confirmed that the wallet was Nobu’s. But she was still curious. It was better to make completely sure, or at least that’s what she told herself.
NOBUNAGA ODA was printed in bold letters on the ID. “Nobu… naga.” The girl’s gaze flicked from the ID to Nobu, from Nobu back to the ID, then once more back to ‘Nobu’ for good measure. “Jiiii….” She stared hard at the girl, large red eyes boring into the older girls.

Nobu blinked, tilting her head to the side. “Oh, is that right? Hehe, I’m glad to hear it! I’ve been looking forward to this for a while!” she grinned. It was actually pretty nice to hear she’d fit right in with them. More like a relief, really. She’d been thinking about this for so long. Really…really a relief. She let out a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding and smiled.
Though it fell a moment later into a grimace when the girl mentioned paperwork. “Eeehh…? Paperwork? Really?” That was…surprisingly mundane for something like this. But she guessed someone needed to keep track of who was running around the city with these powers but still. “That’s kinda boring, innit?” she frowned. Well, she’d do it if she had to. “Guess I’ll have to meet with that guy next then!”
“Hm?” Nobu smiled broadly, waving her hand. “Not at all. My parents just have a weird sense of naming,” she explained. “It’‘s just Nobu, for whatever reason. I have no idea what dad was thinking, but apparently he chose it and mom went with it.”
Anna nodded slightly, "The gold kind seems to have liked documents of people with inhuman abilities, clan wise and strain wise. or so Tatara explained once." Apparently even if the power for a strain was mild or harmless, it was to keep order... which made sense but to Anna while it made sense it did seem a bit counter productive but she had her own reasons to think that.
"......Weird naming sense? Is the name a reference to a thing they like?" She tilted her head, almost looking her age as she was a bit more curious. "It seems like it's short for something though, and you specifically said 'just Nobu is fine' as if that is a nickname"

He thought it would be fine but maybe the power had bloated his ego a bit. “Let’s just play on the way home! Nothing’ll happen! I’ll make sure of it!” So self-assured was the young King as he and his friends kicked the ball to each other on the side walk. They’d make a game out of it. Anyone who kicked the ball off the sidewalk would be out of bounds and lose!
Of course, Taiyou would use his powers to try and net the ball, keeping it from completely going into the street. They weren’t met to kick it high or far, but his friend accidentally did and before Taiyou could react the two flinched at the sound of breaking glass. The two stared at the now broken window then to each other, each gulping down a lump that had gotten caught in their throat.
“I-It’s my fault.. Go ahead and go home. I’ll take responsibility.” He gave his friend more reassurance then stepped in front of the building. The sign above read that it was a bar. The young teen gulped again and knocked on the door. There was no response so he pushed on the doors finding them relenting without protest.
“Um.. Hello..? Is anyone there..?” Maybe they were out? But who leaves their business open and unattended? In this situation he could grab the ball and run and no one would be the wiser but.. that’s not the kind of person Taiyou was. He’d pay for the damage and learn from his mistakes. Glass crunched underfoot as Taiyou walked over to his ball and picked it up, brows furrowed as he begrudgingly lamented a long life of washing dishes. Sigh.
While Anna knew quiet days didn't last quite too long, specially at the bar Homra, she wasn't exactly expecting the silence to be broken with literal glass from one of the windows. Hearing what sounded like a ball bounce onto the wood floor shortly after the glass shattered, she turned around on the barstool to see what even had happened.
Blinking at the kickball on the floor and the window, she was confused where a kids toy like that would even come from since the park was a good bit away from this area. The answer to that though appeared in the form of a boy walking into the bar.
"....Were you the one who broke the window?" Anna questioned a bit curiously, cause while it was definitively possible a friend of his could've been the culprit by accident, it was still confusing why a group of kids were even playing out side this area. "It's probably good Izumo is out today if so, he gets furious even if just the table is scuffed"
Something’s different.
At the time Anna hadn't thought much about what the girl at the crepe stand was going on about... but now she couldn't help but wonder if that girl was a strain of some sort, since she was positive growth spurts do not work like this. Looking in the mirror on the small vanity in her room, it was a strange instance of both looking at your reflection but also questioning if you're miss seeing the reflection. Only reason she hadn't first thought she was looking at someone else, was purely due to the fact her eye & hair colors shouldn't be common, given her features are due to albinism. If she had to guess, she looked roughly somewhere between 18 and 19.... given this was an overnight unexpected change she couldn't be sure though.
She thought back to what the girl at the crepe stand was saying to her after answering that random yet slightly odd question to ask a stranger.
Wouldn’t things be so much easier if you were an adult?
An adult... well by western standards if her guess was right at her sudden physical age appearance change, she would be probably be considered one. might be a year or two off though in japan... depending if you counted 19 being the ‘limbo’ age between adult and minor or not.
Besides, you wouldn’t have to worry about school unless you wanted to!
Though if part of this occurrence was due to her worrying about school... Depending which she passes for more, 18 or 19, she could still be questioned by a stranger what high school she attends since high school while optionable in japan does go to 18 by the 3rd year.
Neither thing was the pressing issue to focus on currently though, instead that was what she was going to wear. Nothing she currently had in her closet would fit properly really, aside from the clothing she managed to acquire from the bar's lost & found box that somewhat fit. She supposed though it would be smarter in the long run to head out now to buy a new set of clothing more her usual style rather than to wait longer. After all the bar wasn't really empty completely for too long. Clan members where always going in and out of the bar during the day, it'd cause a lot of questions and possibly a situation of not being recognized at first. So a lot easier to deal with that after dealing with the clothing issue. Luckily for her, she had a good bit more money in her purse than the average 13 year old since she rarely spent her allowance often so there was a good chunk just saved up.
Heading downstairs and out of the bar as quietly as she could, Anna stared to head in the direction of the usual store she gets most of her current clothing from. Spending a while in the store, she eventually came out wearing a fancy white dress with a reddish-black corset belt on her waist, a red velvet cape with a white fur trim was draped over her shoulders the top of it clasped together with a big ruby jeweled broach.
"This'll do for now" Her voice quiet as she spoke aloud lightly to herself. This really was going to be interesting to explain, specially since she doesn't really have an explanation. After all even if she had encountered a strain, it was still a bit surprising for a young teenager to suddenly be turned into almost an adult.

dairokutenheir:
So it was just like that, huh? She hadn’t known what the effects might be, though maybe it was just the adrenaline rushing through her veins in that moment that was making her feel so light, so full of energy. Well, there was also the fact that a comfortable warmth seemed to settle over her, as if a missing piece had clicked into place.
Once the flame vanished, Nobu went ahead and released her hand. The girl’s hand had felt so small in her own. It was a sobering thought, despite the excitement she felt. But the process had been completed, and she was officially a member of the Red Clan now–no, Homra, rather. “You’re pretty young, huh?” she murmured. “This King thing must be kinda hard on you..Well, I kinda know how it feels, at least. I’m one of your clansmen now, so if you ever find yourself struggling, don’t hesitate to come to me, okay?” she grinned.
She was an older sister after all. Well, Nobukatsu could be a bit clingy, but he was a good kid. Sort of. Kind of. Maybe. Still, she felt like she could at least sort of relate to having a looming pressure hanging on her shoulders.
“Ah, I forgot to introduce myself!” she exclaimed, eyes widening. After all that, she’d been so caught up, it hadn’t crossed her mind. “I’m Nobu,” she answered with a smile. “Don’t need to call me ‘miss’ or anything. Just Nobu is fine!”
Definitely not Nobunaga. She was going to hide that name as much as she could. This was a place where she could be herself and not have to worry about all the pressure and stiffness that came with the name “Nobunaga”…so Nobu suited her just fine. It was at least cuter than Nobunaga too…
Anna shook her head lightly to either side, despite her age and the power she had swirling within her of the Red King she had already as far as she was concerned gone past the times it was hard on her. Both to make her own power and to accept. Though in a sense, being the next Red King was easier than being born a strain had ever been. It was the Red power, the Red clan that had let her gain new things that are precious and worth protecting after all. compared to her strain abilities only causing her to lose things that were important or precious early in her life.
"With a thought process like that, you'll fit in easily in Homra" Anna smiled a bit. The girl's words reminded her as well of the time shortly before she both awoke & accepted being the next Red King. Izumo was the first to notice and even left for Germany, the place the Slate originated, to see if there was a way to go against the Slate's choice for the next King. The rest in Homra too were concerned about if she could contain the power as well after she had officially accepted her new occupation in a sense. "Ah, though you might need to fill out some paperwork as a new clansmen. Izumo usually handles that, the owner of the bar Homra."
"....No..bu?" Anna tilted her head to the side slightly, being a strain with strong empath powers it was rather easy for her to pick up slight things in peoples tones or words or expressions when they weren't quite telling the truth or full truth. This had that feeling to a point, specially with the 'just nobu is fine'. "Is Nobu short for a longer name?"

dairokutenheir:
At the girl’s rather blank expression, Nobu began to wonder if she’d said something weird. Maybe there was a different, more formal process to join..? Maybe they weren’t even accepting new clansmen? It wasn’t like she’d known these sorts of things when she’d found out about them. Really, that was where she was lacking the most information..
But then the girl spoke, making her blink in surprise again. Oh. Okay, so there wasn’t a problem with her request. That made her relax a little. It felt a little awkward to state her reasoning so seriously, but it didn’t seem like the girl minded. It seemed like there was some sort of test required, but that was fine! She’d do whatever it took!
…….She was, however, not expecting the small girl’s hand to burst into blame. For a moment, Nobu was speechless, staring at the flame with wide eyes. So this was the test? A test of will and determination? Her red eyes were practically sparkling now, unable to keep the wide grin off her face. “This is so COOL!”
It was a little nerve-wracking, if she was being completely honest, but she’d already resolved herself to do whatever it took. Her thoughts drifted to the dragon carved into her arm, curling around her bicep and shoulder. A reminder of the future that waited for her…she wanted freedom, at least a way to fight back. Honestly, couldn’t they just make Nobukatsu the heir..?
Shoving those thoughts aside, she took a deep breath to gather her courage, then took the girl’s small hand in her own as the flame enveloped her hand as well…and to her surprise, it didn’t burn. More like a gentle, comforting warmth that spread up her arm and into her body.
“Oh…It’s not burning,” she murmured, awestruck. “Does that mean I passed…?”
A small smile unconsciously appeared on Anna's face as Nobu went to grab a hold of her hand. The girl's personality reminded her of a few members of the clan, a puzzle piece fit in a sense oddly enough. Also the first female to posisbly join the clan aside from herself now that she thought of it.
She remembered a couple girls in the past wanting to join but changing their mind after seeing how you join the clan. She didn't quite fully get why back then but thinking back on it, seeing a hand engulfed in flames was probably startling and would scare most normal people away. probably.
The flame vanishing from her own hand, her scarlet hued eyes looked over the dark haired girl to see that faint 'red' glow which would indicate where the girl's mark for HOMRA would be. Her eyes stopping around the area that would be her mid back if she was turned around. Giving a small nod, "Mhm, welcome to Homra, the Red Clan. miss...?" Anna blinked again, it just occurred to her that she didn't have the girls name at all despite already going with the clan test.

dairokutenheir:
“Hueh?”
Nobu blinked, confusion written all over her face. Well, not that that was unusual. She was practically an open book when it came to all her emotions. That was just the way she’d always been, and there was no use changing it now. Rather, it probably couldn’t be changed now.
But this was the right place, wasn’t it? This small girl before her was the current Red King, right? That’s what the information she’d found said. So this had to be the right place. But the girl had totally misunderstood what she was saying…was there some specific phrase she was supposed to say? She’d never heard anything about that..but then again, it wasn’t like these things came with a user guide. She scratched the side of her head, knocking her hat a little sideways.
“No, ah, I’m not here to get hired by the bar,” she explained. “You’re Homra’s king, aren’t you? That’s what I’m here about.” It was a little uncharacteristic of her to be so serious, she supposed but…this was something she had to do. Something she felt was necessary or else she’d probably lose her damn mind. “I want to join your clan, if you’ll let me.”
“I’m not lookin’ for anything grand like power or anything but…some place I can be myself. I got some weird circumstances but, you’ve probably heard of the Oda family and the rumors about us, right? If it’s alright with you, if you let me join, you’ll have the full support of the Oda funds for whatever you need. I’m set to be the next family head so..” Was that good enough..?
The young girl nodded in response to being asked if she was the King of the clan Homra, the red clan. She also blinked in slight surprise, not that it was visible on her face much though. while she wasn't one to get surprised like this often, it really didn't occur to her that the talkative girl meant she wanted to join Homra. While a lot of people would come to try to join when Mikoto was king, since she became the new Red King the only clansmen really were ones who were previously in Homra who were part of the usual group that hung out at the bar together.
"....Well I don't mind if you would like to join. I can't promise if you'll pass or not though, it'll depend on you i think" She vaguely remembered a couple times she witnessed the previous King initiate potential new clansmen, as well as her own initiation. While she was sure each individual king could come up with their own way to test potential new clansmen, it seemed both easier to try the way she's familiar with and Homra's way as well. She wasn’t sure who this Oda family was too though that didn't seem like it mattered too much, after all it was up to the Red Aura if she was meant to join Homra or not. She seemed like not a bad person so the chances were likely in the other’s favor too.
She turned around on the bar-stool more, to face the girl properly. Closing her eyes, she held out a hand and concentrated on enveloping her hand in her Fire, her red Aura. "You just have to grab onto this hand, see if the flames burn you or accept you"

It was a little stifling, if she was being honest. Sure, her family’s profession made it possible for her to live the comfortable life she had. She knew that. She was aware of the fact that the possessions that made her life more fun were because of the wealth her family had built up. Her game systems, her spacious and comfortable room. These were things that would have brought anyone peace of mind. Instead, it just made her feel stifled. Sure, she loved to lounge about playing games when she wasn’t helping out. But knowing that one day, she’d be head of the Oda family…it was too much closing in on her at once.
But being part of the underground, you learned things. She’d definitely heard stories from the people her family worked with. About the clans and their Kings, about one gang in particular. Most would probably write them off as street punks, but really it was because of that she found herself so fascinated. To her, that one particular gang symbolized the freedom she was desperately seeking to latch on to. An identity of her own, not as the heiress named after a famous warlord for whatever stupid reason her parents had.
So of course, on the day when she’d finally worked out her plan, she made her way to that bar and requested to meet their King. Though she hadn’t exactly expected a young girl. She could relate to that a little. The girl probably had a lot of pressure on her shoulders.
Still, the dark haired heiress put on a cheery grin and lifted her hand in greeting. “Yo! Sorry to barge in like this unannounced but I just had to talk to you. I’m not sure how exactly this process is supposed to go, but details, right? We can work out a deal, if you like.”
“I want you to let me join this thing!”
Anna blinked a bit deadpan expression at the loud girl who'd entered the bar suddenly. Of course it didn't quite occur to the red eyed child that the loud person was referring to joining her clan by 'let me join this thing', it was a vague remark in general and Anna really hadn't had anyone come by to join the clan since she had awoken as king, most of the members were reinstated almost instantly due to their bonds with her and the previous king. So it seemed the 'test' wasn't quite necessary for those members of Homra during it's revival.
"...I don't think Izumo is looking to hire anyone to help with the bar right now...." Anna responded in a quiet monotonous voice. At the moment she was the only one in the front of the bar. She had been enjoying strawberry flavored water with red food dye mixed into it prior to the dark haired girl's arrival. the others who were in the bar earlier seemed to be looking for restocks in one of the rooms down stairs of the bar.
