Again - this is a tale as old as time.
Eurydice steps onto a snake and it kills her in return.
In some versions of the tale, this event has different reasons for happening the way it does. In one she is bitten on her wedding day, running from a shepherd assaulting her; in another it’s a swarm of bees she's fleeing from; in yet a third she is dancing with some nymphs in a meadow, and her death is still an accidental one, if with less terrifying preceding circumstances.
But none of that matters.
Eurydice is bitten by the snake either way; Eurydice dies either way.
But Eurydice was loved, in the end. Ryu Rumi isn’t.

How did Rumi die in Part 5?
At first I thought it was a continuation to dirt by the tree, but Celine seems different between the two fics and It doesn’t look like Part 5 Celine killed her.
Also, was it publicized that Rumi killed herself? Or do they just know she died?

how did rumi die indeed? i left that vague on purpose in that first chapter, mainly because i wanted that effect of people who read part 2 drawing the parallels (i just love drawing connections between my differnt works). but yeah, celine is different in this piece, and she did not directly kill rumi.
the funny thing about the timing of this ask and the topics you mention is that i am working on a short second chapter meant to explain both of those things: how rumi died and what the public reaction is. the chapter is literally called "Interlude - What does the world think about this?" lmao.
that being said, i havent published it yet because its barely 5k and i wasnt sure if people would even want to read that, but apparently there seems to be interest ;) so to answer your last question - yes, technically speaking a continuation is planned.
