Blood poured from (Character A)’s wound as they tried to pull the sword form their abdomen, wincing heavily in pain.

“No! Stop, don’t do that!” (Character B) objected, kneeling down beside (Character A) and putting their hands on top of their companion’s. “That will make you bleed out... I know... I know it’s bad, it’s so bad,” the tears started to well up in (Character B)’s eyes as they spoke, “I know it hurts, but leave it be... until we can get you to someone who can help.”

(Character A) gave a grunt n response, neither committing to nor denying (Character B)’s request.

“Please,” (Character B) begged, eyes meeting theirs. “I can’t lose you.”
