Well, not quite, but I thought that would get your attention. However, there are only a couple of days left to put your name down for this project, and we want to get as many people involved as possible!
A reminder: the form with close on Tuesday 31st May, 11:59pm EST.
As always, we’d like to remind people that we want to hear from everybody who is interested in being a part of this project. You don’t have to be a writer, you don’t have to create anything if you don’t want to, even being someone to input ideas and discuss possible season threads. Of course, writers are very much encouraged to sign up, no matter what sort of story you like to write!

So hurry on over and put your name down if you haven’t already! It will only take a couple of minutes of your life. We already have quite a collection of people signed up (including one very enthusiastic person who put their name down twice - you know who you are).

Alrighty, folks of the Forever fandom! Remember this project? Well, it’s about to get a whole lot more interesting, because we are now introducing a deadline for the signups!
The form will close on Tuesday 31st May, 11:59pm EST. You have until then to register your interest in this project, whether as a creator, ideas contributor, or just as someone who wants to watch all the discussion and not say anything. You are all very welcome!
We need more people involved in this project, so please, please spread this around to all your followers. Remember, you don’t have to actually write a story to be involved - there’s a role for everyone!

Something to note
Okay, so thus far there’s been a lot of interest in this plan (although only eight signups so far, come on guys, we need you!) But something we’ve been seeing in the tags on our posts is that people seem to be reluctant to sign up because of the time comitment. So, we’d like to make something very clear: this is not a huge commitment. It will require a lot of work, but this will be spread out over a long period of time. The idea at this stage is that we release the ‘episodes’ on the same dates the first season was released, which would start in September. It’s currently April, so there will be plenty of time to plan, organise, and create your works.
So basically, don’t worry if you have a lot of work somewhere else at the moment, or a lot of TV to catch up on (like yours truly, for instance). If you are involved in this project, it will be over a matter of months, so please, don’t be scared to sign up for that reason. We need you guys to be able to create this project.

All right, ladies, gents, and variation thereupon, it’s Wednesday again, and you know what that means - another posting of the sign-up form! So far five people have put their names down, which is great, but we need more if this project is to work.
A reminder that this is not just for writers, it’s for everyone who wants to be involved. This could be as a writer (long or short stories), artist, beta-reader, or even someone who wants to help organise without actually contributing a work at the end. Everyone is welcome, so please, please spread this link throughout the fandom! We want as many people to know about this as possible.

Will the story follow Matt Miller's post-series comments on the story arc (i.e. that Henry managed to *not* tell Jo *again*), or will a separate arc be mapped out by the writing staff, prior to production? Or is that something that will also be decided by the writing staff for the season?
That’s an excellent question, thank you for asking it. The answer, however, is as yet undecided. Initial thoughts from the organisers are that we will probably loosely follow Matt Miller’s ‘guidelines’, but ultimately that is something that will be decided by the writing team in one of the many pre-season discussions. So if anyone’s planning on signing up, that’s something to look forward to!

Greetings once again, folks! Looks like it’s that time already - the sign up form for Forever Season 2 is finally here! Please, please, please, repost and share this link with all your followers so that it can get around the whole fandom. We want to get as many people involved in this as possible!
Just so everybody is clear, this isn’t a final contract saying that you will will definitely be a part of the project, nor is it just for writers. It’s just an indication of interest in the project, and everybody is invited!

You’re very welcome! We’re excited about this as well, although at the moment we’re even more excited about the fact that the online form will be published in the next day or so. This will mean people can start officially registering their interest in being a part of the project, coming soon to a Tumblr near you!
Who are you, though? I think we should probably know who's behind this before getting too into this project. Forever is really important to a lot of us.
That’s a very good point, and I’m glad you asked. Forever is important to many people, including myself. You see, I am actually Matt Miller.
Not really. I wish that were true, but this blog is in fact run by @manypastfrustrations. I know I’m fairly new to the fandom on Tumblr, but I’ve written a couple of stories, and I hope my blog can be a bit of a testament to my character at least. I don’t intend to hide behind this blog, we merely thoguht that having a separate blog would be easier for organising a project on this scale. Plus I also run the @incorrect-forever-quotes blog, which is fairly popular, so that’s something, right?
The thing is, although I’m running this blog, there are other people working behind the scenes on planning and organising this venture. I’m the only one who currently has a Tumblr blog, though, so that’s why I’m modding this. There are two people other than me, one of whom has set up a Twitter account for this project, although that is yet to be up and running.
Although these other people do not have blogs, I hope you will believe me when I say that Forever is extremely important to them as well, and we are all doing our best to do this right. We want to create a convincing second season of this amazing show, one that will be created by fans, for fans, and that will be faithful to the original text.
The Low Down
Wow. There has been a lot of interest in this plan, way more than we could have hoped for. Thank you to everyone who helped to spread the last post, as well as the people who sent in concerns and queries about how it’s going to work. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to properly address everybody’s messages, but we hope this post will answer a lot of questions people have.
Soon, there will be an online sign-up form for potential creators, which will be linked to on this blog. We will use this to work out people’s styles and strengths, to ensure we have a good mix of writing styles and genres. We will need writers to write the ‘episodes’, but since there is such a wide range of talent in this fandom, we thought it might be nice for fan artists to be able to get involved as well. For each story that is written, for instance, a fan artist could be assigned to draw a picture about that story, which would work as a teaser for the next episode in the week leading up to it being published. It’ll be a heck of a lot easier than hiring the actors and shooting a trailer, for one thing, and for another it would be a good way to get writers and artists to collaborate in a way they wouldn’t usually. One person can of course sign up as both an artist and a writer – this will make more sense when you see the form.
The plan is that there will be 22 episodes in this season, like the first one. These would probably be scheduled on the same dates as the first season, exactly two years later. As well as being cool, this means that there will be plenty of time to write the stories, so don’ worry about that. Ideally there will be 22 writers, one for each episode, but that’s unlikely to happen because real life is never perfect. As such, if fewer than 22 writers apply, we may need some people to write more than one episode if they are willing and able. Only people who indicate on the form that they can do more than one will be asked to do this, though, don’t worry. If more than 22 writers apply, then we will unfortunately have to whittle them down using a lottery – we will literally be picking names out of a hat (and providing pictures if necessary). Everyone who applies will have a fair chance at getting into the season.
Collaborations between two or more writers on one story are welcome, as long as they can be completed within a reasonable time period. There will obviously be some of collaboration between the writers of the episodes, to decide things like season story arcs, overarching plots/themes, and any regular or recurring characters we decide to introduce over the course of the season. We are trying to stay true to the magic of the original Forever, the one that we all fell in love with, which will mean introducing some rules. This won’t be anything too restricting, just some guidelines – i.e. no crossovers, AUs, non-canon pairings, etc. Try to make your stories about things that could actually happen in the Foreververse, as that’s what we’re trying to add to, in our own way.
If anyone has any questions, comments, suggestions about this plan, or something we forgot to mention here, feel free to shoot us an ask and we’ll respond as soon as possible. The online form should be posted within the next few days, and things should make more sense then. Until then, adios, and thanks for all your support so far!
Listen up Foreverists!
If you’re reading this post, chances are you’ve been looking through the Tumblr tag for Matt Miller’s Forever, the ABC show that was sadly cancelled last year. The Forever fandom is a small one, but nonetheless one that is massively talented, with fics, art and videos being produced left, right, and centre. We have Ficathons, gift exchanges, ask blogs, roleplays, and many, many more ways of showing our admiration for the show, on a wide variety of platforms. We have quite the little community.
Apart from our love of the show, there is one thing that unites most of us: our despair at the lack of a second season. For months, we have hoped and prayed for ABC or Netflix to pick up the show where it left off and produce a second season, or even a few episodes or a film; but sadly, this was to no avail. People have even toyed with the idea of creating a second season through fanfiction, but due to the sheer amount of co-ordination this would require, it has not come to past despite people’s best efforts.
That’s where this delightful new blog comes in. We at @forever-season2 propose to you - wait for it - that we, the Forever fandom, use our considerable skills in creating fanworks to create a fan-made second season!
Now, we know what you’re going to say. This isn’t exactly an original idea, but it is one that would require an immense amount of organisation and collaboration between Foreverists. That’s why we’ve created this blog, as a way to organise creators and collate ideas to create our second season.
So, if you are reading this, and would be interested in being involved as a writer or artist, please like or reblog this post to show your interest and spread awareness of this scheme. Heck, even if you’re not interested in creating, give this post a few notes anyway, to show your support. This is just to see what level of interest your the fans have in this idea, and how many people would be willing and able to contribute, even in a small way.
It’s a long story - let’s keep it that way.
