A young, talented scientist named Yzma (played by Ariana Grande) stumbles onto a plot orchestrated by a corrupt empire. She vows to stop them but in the process, her entire family is crushed by a stampede of llamas. In her despair, she gets her potions mixed up and accidentally drinks from a vial that ages her 80 years and renders her scary beyond all reason. Yzma swears revenge on the newly born emperor, Kuzko. Kronk is her love interest and played by one of the hot guys from Riverdale.
the scripts for cruella, riverdale and the powerpuff girls reboot have done an Excellent job at raising my self confidence as a writer; I rest assured in the knowledge that I Literally can't do worse
Oooh can I ask another one? The scene where Nate tells Elliot not to get violent and Elliot gets all hurt and offended but then it’s sterling and he beats his ass?
One of the funniest scenes in the entire show honestly.
Especially since Eliot’s right. He’s not overly violent. Compare him to any other brute in any other show - and Eliot is damn near reserved. He enjoys fighting, makes a skill of it, but he’s not excessively violent, and if he can end a fight quickly, he does. I think the only times they actively play up Eliot being violent is once in the Double-Blind Job, which was played for a laugh, the Tap-Out Job and the French Connection Job - where Eliot immediately shows that both were a farce. (An argument can also be made for the Big Bang Job’s whole…thing with the floor sliding and explosions, but hey, it’s a campy ass show. It needs a campy ass scene. And even then - when he takes out Chapman? It’s dramatic, but efficient. And Chapman’s a child killer. So. You know. Shooting him in the face is appropriate.)
So he has every right to be offended when Nate asks him not to do anything violent. Like, what the hell is he talking about? Eliot is the pinnacle of self-control - literally. Like, that’s a main character point.
…And it goes right out the goddamn window as soon as Sterling talks. And, you know? I really, really can’t blame him. Sterling hasn’t even shown the full lengths he’ll got to be an asshole yet. But, Sterling’s part of the reason they had to break up at the end of the first season. He’s part of the reason Eliot lost one of the first stable things he’d had in awhile. Sterling put all of them in very real, very physical danger - and that’s a blow to Eliot’s pride in his work, on top of, you know, those being his friends.
On top of that. Even by early season 2, we know Eliot has a very strict way of carrying himself, and dealing with other people - not necessarily a code of honor, but something pretty close. He literally only puts up with Nate’s bullshit because he’s an ‘honest man’ - and as soon as that shiny veneer starts falling off? Eliot gets in his face a lot easier. So, Sterling? A version of Nate without even the fresh coat of paint?
Yeah, that’s the kind of man Eliot beats into the dirt and leaves there.
Sterling has pushed every single one of Eliot’s buttons.
Violence is a totally appropriate response here.
And you know what’s really great?
Yeah, Eliot beats the crap out of him - but. Sterling’s still walking after. We know by now Eliot can put down most men with a single hit when he wants to. Even ‘uncontrolled’, Eliot isn’t doing damage he doesn’t mean to. He’s pissed at Sterling, rightfully so, and he’s showing it - but he’s not putting Sterling down, because that’s not the appropriate response.
So, even when the show plays up the ridiculousness of what Eliot does, and the violence he can dish out - it’s never not the appropriate response, and it ends when it’s supposed it.
Very deep and accurate analysis of a scene that was added to the script because Mark Shepard’s (Sterling) son wanted to see Kane beat the crap put of his dad while on set that day.
And everyone from the writers to actors and producers were like “hell yeah, let’s make the kid happy”
Few things make me hate people more than standing at baggage claim
Nothing says 'vicious hunter' quite like loudly watching a pigeon from the comfy vantage point of a sofa and hitting yourself in the eyeball repeatedly with your own tail
Simply devastated that this now has 13,000 notes and no-one knows that my little idiot cat is named Poo
POO????
POO!!!!!
Joe does this with our local squirrel! He doesn’t ever react. he just looks at me like it’s my fault! I will get a picture someday
@thealiceofwonderland
I just used the line “that’s not an asshole move, it’s a whole asshole ballet” and I’m kinda proud of it so it’s going here where it will get the recognition it deserves.
A pas de douche, if you will
All right, the rest of you can go home, this one wins.

catching up on November - January filming (sorry, looks a bit messy but there was quite a bit)
I’m in the middle of a downward spiral in terms of my dating/love life. It has become clear to me that I am the awesome, hot friend, that everyone loves so much and thinks is super sexy, but no one actually wants to date.
And don’t get me wrong, I love my friends and I value them so much. But I would very much love for someone to want to date me too. Because I can also be the awesome hot girlfriend if given that opportunity.

it’s Really Fucking Important that we understand that these people aren’t going away, and that they’re going to start/keep running for smaller offices than president and senator. these people understand playing the long game and how to affect change at the local level.
you can’t stop voting or participating now. the american fascist movement may only grow from here, and one of the single most important things all of us as individuals HAVE to do is vote.
even if the candidate is imperfect. even if you feel like electing them will do nothing but maintain the status quo. i get the frustration, but if we don’t work with what we have (and work to push what we have to the left), we will slip further and further to the right. we will end up with more trumpists, more qanons, more fascists in positions of power.
you have to vote, because you can be damn sure that they will.
