ZUHAIR MURAD SPRING 2014 RTW

Zuhair Murad’s RTW collection is inspired by the work of Victor Vasarely, an artist widely acknowledged as the founder of the ‘Op Art Movement’ - a form of art that makes use of optical illusions.

Murad incorporated Vasarely’s technique into his collection by applying abstract patterns and mosaic printing - our eyes gaze over the unique shapes that are moulded onto each sculptured frame. Murad joins two forms of artistic expression together - modernist art and high fashion. This collection allows us to immerse ourselves into Murad’s spectacular vision.

His collection shows a plethora of carefully constructed pieces in his breathtaking RTW line. Murad adheres to his trademark style by merging together sharp features such as sexy cut-outs to expose flesh, lace embedded fabric, heavy embellished work, detailed bodices and bold colour variations.
