I need people to start understanding that fiction is completely separate from reality, especially when it comes to liking fictional characters.
I like a hot anime boy as much as the next guy, but that does not mean I will ever date a man in real life.
For instance- I go on record to say I really like a character and that they’re hot, whatever. I still would never date someone, as I’m aroace.
It doesn’t make me any less aroace, as such actions would never make anyone any less of their identity they’ve labeled themselves as.
Fictional/subjective attraction doesn’t equal real attraction.
(Note that I’m not referring to yumeshipping, I’m not even remotely ready to get into the topic of that.)
Happy pride month, don’t be an ass 🫶
