In regards to Lil’ Voldy, there’s not much to tell. I’m … dealing? I’m presently being shuttled between doctors and treatments and unrelated medical oddities and tests, etc. I can guarantee that my health will often get in the way of the consistency I’m striving for in terms of my creative output but the determination and motivation are there, I promise!

Tumblr writing aesthetic is really nice with its high quality photos of stylish cafes, lattes, and beautiful minimalist writing desks, but lets also take time to appreciate more realistic writing aesthetics. 

Mine is being fourteen years old, sitting on the floor taking shots of off-brand mountain dew to stay awake, and misspelling my main character’s first name as I approach the end of a fourteen hour writing marathon.

i decided to redo this FíKí sketch while in the country since i wasn’t happy with the ink-lining i’d done on the original; it left no room for fixes or further improvement. and being that i’m not 100% gung-ho about how this turned out, i didn’t want to eliminate the possibility of going back to it in the future.

still, i’m proud that i managed to produce what i can at least identify is a bee-zoo and not some tragic accident where their faces got smooshed together x) silver-lining!

[side note: i showed it to my BFF who isn’t a FíKí fangirl (nor into LotR or The Hobbit in any way, shape or form) and she asked me, “what are those things on his face?” and, because i can read her mind, i answered, “they are not - despite what you think - caterpillars.” so now i’m haunted by this image of Fíli attaching caterpillars to his upper lip every morning because they ‘look cool’. so that happened ... (x ]
