"Alpha," he corrected. It shouldn't irk him so much, but Sister Imperator had put a bad taste in his mouth with the word, and he knew others felt the same way. Also, he was supposed to be a team with Terzo, wasn't he? Then, him not calling him by his crowd-given name was stupid. He would get used to it. "And I'll hold you to that," having dibs on such a treat was a rarity, often reserved for Papa's favourite. Or so it used to be before Terzo, which also meant Alpha had been first last cycle as well. That was something he had gotten used to.

Alpha kept his eyes on the fire as Terzo unvaled the reason he'd decide to hide out here. The man must really find the paperwork detramenting if he chose to be this uncomfortable over it. He wasn't dumb or blind; even other ghouls had complained to him that his room was unlivable or horrendous to stay in. For a human, it must be almost unbearable. The ghoul shivered and wrapped one of the blankets around his shoulders, the tail flicking harshly again.

"I wouldn't. I would have burnt the paperwork and the office down within minutes," he confessed, and eyes dropped to the bottle as it was handed back to him. "She's a cunt," he said before taking a large drink from the bottle. "Everybody knows that," he rested the bottle on his lap; no need to drink it all in one go, it was better to pace it. Not that it would be any trouble for him, but he knew humans were sensitive creatures that could only handle small amounts of alcohol at once. "Are you late on it or why is she already hounding you?"

" Sì, Alpha. Perdonami. " Terzo nods SWIFTLY at the correction. He of course never means to intentionally belittle the ghouls. The way members within the Clergy, especially Sister, diminished their individualities sickened him. They were summoned with a purpose in mind yes, but the ghouls should be treated as any other person living and working within the abbey and nothing less. " I'm sure you will and I swear I'll keep my word on it. Cross my heart and all that shit. " Admittedly Omega was the one that usually got first pick of any sacrifices made under Terzo's reign now, but he'd make sure to have a quick chat with the quintessence ghoul later about the promise he made with Alpha. Just this once couldn't hurt as a small gift for having Alpha put up with his ANTICS.

A sudden laugh bursts from his lungs, taken completely off guard by the the fire ghoul's BLUNT statement. It eventually all quiets into chuckles as Terzo carefully wipes the tears that had formed at the very corners of his painted eyes. " Very true. Everyone knows, eh? Someone should try telling my papa that then. " Terzo scoffs with a sharp bitterness to his tone as he watches Alpha take another drink. All his life he's spent with his father CHASING after a phantom of memory he had when Sister Imperator was still his lover. The worst part was that Terzo could tell they both felt similarly, yet it never seemed to cloud Sister's mind nearly as much. Always on the task at hand, always looking towards the future for the Ministry. It was something the antipope could respect about her, her STRENGTH to carry forward even if it meant suffering personal losses. She had once tried teaching him that to no avail, Terzo was too sentimental and too much of a romantic. Too much like Nihil was.

" Sister always has a slightly different deadline in her mind. You know how she is. I've actually been a good boy lately with getting all the t's crossed and i's dotted as they say. " Terzo shrugs his shoulders lazily, starting to feel the the vodka hitting his EMPTY stomach and taking quicker affect in his bloodstream than usual. In hindsight he should've really eaten before downing such heavy swigs of alcohol, now he'll certainly be out of commission to continue working tonight if he hadn't already been trying to get out of it. The antipope's train of thought is broken however by the fire ghoul wrapping a blanket around himself. Terzo lets out a soft noise of amusement, not at Alpha's expense, but more in awe of the odd sight. " Are you...cold, Alpha? Ah, I suppose the fireplace really isn't comparable to hellfire. You know, I could get my hands on a heated blanket for you if you need the extra warmth. "

NATURE UNYIELDING &&. UNTAMED; UNCONTRABLLE. [ ... ] but that is the beauty of the world. no matter how far civilisation progresses, they are unmatched by the chaos of nature and all her wonder. from blaring sunlight that scorches the earth to a downpour of rain. especially when it comes unexpectedly. cascading from above, soaking the woman in an instant. dishevelled appearance, a stark difference from her usual perfection of crimson and gold.

shivering with arms wrapped around herself. hurrying as fast as heeled feet could carry her. eyes downcast, makeup streaming down marble cheeks. muttering in tongues; both blessed and cursed by the sky's rain. until it suddenly disappeared. polished leather in her line of vision, catching her attention slowly. honey - kissed hues rising to focus on him. ❝ cardinal, i had thought you would be inside. ❞ so akin to cats, avoiding the rain when it poured. but she is thankful. creeping closer at his invitation, finding shelter under the outstretched umbrella. ❝ thank you. why are you out in the rain? i thought you preferred the warmth of the indoors or a bed. [ ... ] never thought to find you outside. let alone in this weather. ❞

The steps he takes while trekking through the downpour in order to not encounter any particularly deep puddles or muddy spots are calculated and PRECISE. It isn't until he spots Priscilla that the concentration on his own gait is broken enough to slightly speed up and reach out to offer her sanctuary underneath the umbrella with him. Not exactly a difficult task to accomplish due to Terzo's smaller stature never taking up that much space. " Believe me, I'd love nothing more. But you see my madre she ah, sent me out on a run to the garden. Something about needing fresh herbs. " It feels a bit silly saying that out loud, like he's a still a kid being tasked with chores. No one would dare catch him denying his mother of any assistance needed though, the cardinal was a DEVOTED son when it came to the old Sister of Sin.

" I should be asking you the same as well! It looks like this lovely weather has nearly got the best of you. " The cardinal points out with an observational glance at Priscilla's current state of appearance. He hasn't come out UNSCATHED from the rain's relentlessness either despite his shield, the usual black paint around his eyes is smudged, threatening to run down his cheeks as if he'd been crying instead of the dark skies above. " A good hot cup of tea or coffee feels like it's in order maybe even something with more of a kick to it. What do you think? "
