Sakura was my first favorite anime character and when I was a kid I literally wanted to be her. She’s sweet and brave and kind and I’ve never stopped liking her. She’s a great role model for little girls.
Elias and Kenshin are my husbandos lol. I first started watching Rurouni Kenshin in 2004 and I instantly fell for Kenshin because he was troubled but kind and had a strong sense of justice and a lot of integrity. I’ve loved him ever since. Elias came much later, I wanna say like 2017?? I saw a manga cap from The Ancient Magus’ Bride (the one where he’s covering Chise’s eyes from behind her) and I was instantly drawn to his character design. Something about him has always been very alluring to me. Once I got into the series and realized he was an intelligent gentleman who is adorably clueless about “human things” I was sold.
Last but certainly not least we have MadoHomu, which is probably my biggest canon ship. I don’t usually tend to like the canon ships these days, but they really hit it outta the park with this one. These two poor little starcrossed lovers have one of the most tragic romances I’ve seen in media. I also love that it’s never played up for woke points- it’s just two little girls who love the crap out of each other… friendship that goes beyond the bounds of society and just crosses into this space of true love, true sacrifice. I will always maintain that they should have been allowed to grow old together 😭.
