Andrei hadn’t particularly felt like returning to his apartment that night, so he’d simply stayed put in the library, methodically rereading his notes on the War of the Fourth Coalition and trying, in vain, to find French academia on the subject. It seemed that every time he found an article, it was one the university didn’t have access to.

He looked up when the other girl spoke, realized that she was the only other student he could see in the library.  He looked over towards the shelves she was indicating, and raised an eyebrow. “Maybe it’s a librarian,” he said shortly, and looked back at his notes.

After he said that, a crashing sound resounded through the library, and this time, Andrei couldn’t help but start.

        by all means, mary would consider herself a sensible woman. hence why she disregarded the other’s comment for a brief moment as tired eyes flickered, nearly straining to see something. was it a librarian? no, she wouldn’t have almost had a heart attack if that was the case.

        but then there was a crash and eyes would instantly find their way back to the stranger, filled with curiosity more than concern at this point in time. “... i suppose we should go check that out, shouldn’t we?”
