gotta be honest the twewy anime feels more like fan service to me than an actual attempt to make an anime adaptation out of the story. having played the game i already know what's happening and i can appreciate the small nods. but i can't imagine that i'd appreciate it if i was new to twewy.

on the other hand the anime cuts out a lot of iconic scenes so that it'd fit into 12 episodes... it's like worst of both worlds idk

Shiki’s incredible. She turns the smallest ideas into complete clothes. She’s skillful, sensitive, and a hard worker. I think she had more talent than me. But I couldn’t find the right way to tell her. I really hurt her. You see, Shiki was worrying that she wasn’t good at designing clothes. So, I tried to downplay it. I said, “You’re not meant to be a designer. You’re a great seamstress, anyway.” I wanted to apologize right away. I was going to say sorry first thing the next morning. But now… I can never see her again. The clothes I design only become real when Shiki makes them for me. So… I can’t do it without Shiki.
