crowds ... taro didn’t usually mind them , most of the time . they were tolerable . you could HIDE easily in them . but this time was different , & he couldn’t place WHY . it’s not the first time someone’s bumped into him , but it’s the first time someone decided to speak . the general public decided it was best to avoid speaking to him when possible , he’s noticed . & taro he heard them , very clearly , but he turns ( the irritation he feels not shown on his features ) . he’s only blocking the other’s path further , now . ‘ huh ? d — didn’t ... catch that . ’

“They were interrogating you or something!? You must got some important details! You with the yakuza or something?!” He didn’t look like he was with the yakuza. But they might have gone into better hiding after recent “incidents”.

taro actually has a slight stutter , not nearly as bad as it used to be , & the reason his speech is choppy & disorganized most times is related to that . this is because of an undiagnosed speech disorder caused from brain trauma . it manifested itself gradually when he was in his early teens .

taro gets to his feet , arm hanging limp & twisted at his side . he leans to favor his left , uninjured side . ‘ hey , hey , ‘s fine . ’ is he attempting to be genuinely comforting ?

‘ y’know ... how heroes like to snap arms during ... ’ what’s the word ... ? ( clue : it’s interrogations , but it doesn’t come to mind right now ) . ‘ — when they’re askin’ questions . that’s why ... ’ & they nearly ripped his arm clean off !! not very heroic , if you ask him .
