Writing/character idea: one or two otherworldly deities that had caused Chaos and Mayhem and Evil to mortals before being locked away somehow for thousands of years in some talisman(s) or tomb(s) or whatever and so when some random guy comes along and accidentally frees or makes contact with them, they realize that this is their chance of escape, before they learn that the guy is some depressed orphan kid that they now feel obligated to help care for, eventually forgetting their whole ‘be free to wreak havoc on the world’ plan (they are now their adoptive parent(s))

… so anyways here’s my Tiefling Bardlock D&D character. His patrons are the gods of Comedy and Tragedy :))
