I wish that more people discussing car seat headrest's lyrics would take will toledo's identity as a furry seriously as a perspective that informs much of his body of work in the same way that queerness and mental illness does but that would require a level of sincere engagement with art that the internet does not possess. Why authentically engage with artistic themes when you could instead devalue them and say "lol he's a gay furry isn't that cringe XD" because you don't understand them or you think they're weird.
