Last Chance
So moving to Sydney. I’ve been in an endless cycle of applying for jobs and then getting rejected then losing confidence. Stop then repeat. It was only the last few months where I have been applying non stop. Now don’t get me wrong, I knew that there must have been something I was doing wrong. So I sought help, asked for feedback, updated resumes cover letters and such. In the last few months, applied to over 200 jobs, each cover letter and resume being different and dedicated. Yet 0 replies still. And I'm just about to give up. Asked for feedback and got the usual replies. Lack experience, we just found someone more fitting, you're over qualified.
And I detest Engineering. I just cant see myself working in the construction industry and such. The passion is just not there. And this allowed me to look for over career paths, and after nearly a whole year, realised I wanted to get into project management. Now I started building connections and such. And I managed to get a referral into HP for a junior project management role. Entry Level, SCORE!. Which was what I thought. But then they didn't even give me the chance. They wouldn't even interview me, because they hired an Indian man in his late 30′s that moved to Australia 1 month ago and has had about 10 years experience with the same role. How is that even fair.
And now here I am at this last chance. I have been working in Sunglass Hut the last year and a bit. And a new position opened up in their head-office at Luxottica. IT WAS A PROJECT MANAGEMENT JUNIOR ROLE. How I found out was because I was referred by 4 people. My store Manager, The Market Manager, The State Manager, and one of the HR girls in the team. Now surely, that was a good sign. Had phone interview with HR, did ok, moved onto second round which was with the project manager. Typical interview of strengths and such, and she showed me around the office which was great. And I managed to meet the state manager and HR and joked around with them. I also got to meet the Australian CEO (who loves me) and we had a good laugh.
- Side story. I use to work in a small store so i never met people from headoffice. Because i was working in a multisite, I visited this bigger store nearby to transfer glasses during my break. So I stood there not serving anyone and telling the associates “I’m about to do something dodgey” LOL. So there is this really talkative guy and he puts 4 glasses on the counter and he’s like here’s a good multi for you (multi is a measurement we use. It indicates how many glasses you can sell to one person). And I’m there in the corner being all like, how do you know what a multi is. And he’s like oh I’m just a manger in this company. And I was like which store do you manage. And thats when the other girl yelled at me and said he was our boss, he’s the CEO. Now I panicked, and I knew I had to make a joke and wanted to pretend to suck up. So the first thing I came up with was, “You’re a handsome man” LOL. Well at least I made myself known, and he’s talked abuot me around the office too,.
Ok back to the story. So now its the third and final interview. It was with the project manager and her team this time. So what happened? Nothing, it was literally 30 minutes of them describing the role into detail and challenges etc, and 30 mins of me asking questions. Now I’m just so confused, because how can they measure how well I did. I did ask a lot of questions, but that's because I was genuinely interested in the job. I just hate this waiting game, its killing me inside. And this is the last chance I’m holding. If I cant get a job that I’m qualified for, referred and internal already, how is there even hope for other jobs. I just don't know ... :(
Today I will remember to…
1. Think well of myself. 2. Remember how far I have already come. 3. Refuse to ruminate over past mistakes or failures. 4. Refuse to get pulled down by others’ negativity. 5. Enjoy life’s little pleasures – like flowers and sunrises. 6. Be present in “this moment”. 7. Breathe, relax, and smile.
Questions to Help You Figure Out Your Future
1. What are some things you like to see or have in your life? List them. Set up a plan to work towards getting each one.
2. What kind of lifestyle do you want to lead? Describe how you would like your life to be like in 1 year, 2 year, 3 year and so forth down the line. Pay attention to your progress and small changes that occur. What would you be doing each day?
3. Since you need money to survive and live the lifestyle you want, what is an ideal job that accomplishes those? How are you going to get there?
4. What are your bucket list? This question sort of relates to question 1, but bucket list are usually more about 1 time things that you’ve done whereas things you like to see or have in your life is more permanent. For example, a bucket list might be to Travel, whereas something you like to have could be a house, an expensive car, a significant other or so forth. For bucket list, write out as many things as you could think of no matter how silly they are.
5. How are you currently progressing towards your desired future? What are you currently doing now that’s getting you closer to your future?
6. What are some things you are doing now that is moving you away from the future? What could you do instead so you could move in the right direction?
If you guys can think of more, feel free to add to this list. Tag me at neurolove and I will reblog yours!

Update - Love
Its been a while since I've updated my tumblr, but I just needed to write down a few things before I sleep. I've been in a relationship for 9 months now. Which for me is pretty much 9 years. This is the first boy I've said I love you to. And its something that I've never said before to anyone (even to my 5 ex's lol). That being said saying I love you does come with a few consequences. Its meant that I've had to patient, committed, understanding and devoted.
Yes its true, love isn't like what it is in the fairy tales, its not like 2 people meet each other, fall in love and live happily ever after. We've had our share of challenges. A lot of break downs as well, from leaving me for his ex at the start when we were dating, to hiding things behind my back, and our latest challenge was doing long distance. Now im not a patient person, and he's not the most experienced person in relationships, having only 1 relationship last for 3 weeks. So this was a toughy for us. And its made an ugly side of me appear. A crazed obsessed psycho bitch. It wasnt easy and I was about to give up. Im not going to lie, part of that feeling still lingers. But when he came back, it was a challenge for him to meet me as well, since he's not out. But the first thing he tried to do was meet me to rectify everything.
That first night together made me realise why Ive been working so hard. Having him in my arms, with the moon gleaming through the window. Someone is as committed as I am for a relationship and still willing. Something Ive never been able to find before. Im still a bit crazy, but I believe over time it will be okay, because I'm starting to see slight improvement. In the end, we will both make mistakes, we're both human, but were 2 people trying our hardest to work through these mistakes and keep each other in our lives, and that is why I love him.
My 1-hour drawing entries for Charathon: SUPER SMASH BROS. EDITION!!!

There is someone out there who likes you but you don't even know it.
