Save Bert Flinn Park!
Hey ! So this is likely the only personal post you will see from me, but it’s important. Bert Flinn is a large forest and nature park local to my house where many people hike, bike, and walk their dogs. It’s the home of many wild animals, and really just a beautiful place.
However, like all beautiful things, somebody out there wants to see it destroyed. Developers from Hong Kong want to create a noisy road through the heart of the tranquil forest to “ease traffic from Ioco Road” (which, for those of who don’t live around here, is quite a busy road) But, most drivers won’t even take the new Bert Flinn road, according to a survey. This is the only nature reserve in the city, it’s right next to a school, and did I mention it is the home of an endangered species? Port Moody is a city known for it’s ocean, wildlife, and gorgeous forest, but it won’t be for long if our biggest nature park is split in half. Please, if you live in Canada, sign the petition below. And even if you don’t live here, take a look at the website and spread the word! http://www.savebertflinnpark.ca/
