I would say that Jade is much softer and more comforting, as though he is speaking to calm down a child, while Mina's is more authoritative and like a command. It's like... "There's nothing to fear!!"

It only APPEARS that way because the rest of the body thins itself out as it dehydrates and decomposes. It's actually quite an interesting process, especially since hair follicles are stacked dead skin and melanin(maybe?) held together through pressure and bodily oils that we naturally secrete through our skin, which is why our hair gets oily if we don't shower for a long enough period!
