learned to swallow my pain, because speaking up only made things worse.
I taught myself to stay quiet, to hold it all inside, to disappear so I wouldn't cause problems.
Now, I keep everything inside until it spills out all at once, and I'm left drowning in everything I tried to hide.
Someone asks me if I’m okay —and I can tell they really mean it.
But all I can think is,
“I forgot to buy bread.”
Any time something upsets me. If I feel unwanted, misunderstood—all I want to do is abuse drugs and alcohol.
avoidance….
it won’t get better // my hope is gone
my voice means nothing, so why speak?
“The world is too brutal for me — I am glad there is such a thing as the grave — I am sure I shall never have any rest till I get there.”
— John Keats, letter to Fanny Brawne, August 8th 1820 (via antiquedvintage)
do you actually like being alone or did you just get used to no one ever showing up for you
I really think I'm as close to nothing as a living thing can be. Disposable, disgusting and worthless. A burden at most.
Tw: suicide
Recently confessed to friends and my husband that I was planning to kill myself this year. I was saving money to buy tanks of helium and I was going to go out in the woods somewhere and put a bag over my head and just go away. I went out looking for spots to do it.
My housemate said "I never knew. I noticed you were going for longer walks and I just thought you were hooking up."
I was cheating on my husband with death. I completely withdrew and just fantasized about death and dying all the time. For months. In January I didn't think I'd make it to Christmas, and that feeling was stronger and more real than anything else.
Idk. I'm doing better now, but death and I are definitely still seeing each other.
just the usual
