Axl enjoyed lab classes, liked working on things with his hands, it was the best way to learn for the male. Plus he got to do all kind of weird, fun experiments that heâd never gotten to do before. At least not at this big scale or in as fancy a lab. He was glad to be partnered with Fritz, the other was one of his roommates and was already used to Axlâs antics that sometimes drove others up the wall. âSure can do, Fritzy!â Axl replied and nodded, throwing the girl a thumbs up before turning to grab the sodium hydroxide and the boy should have been more careful with handling the chemicals. He just never figured heâd drop it or get it on anyone, so he fiddled around with the container, not really paying attention as he inspected the container and opened it up as he turned back swiftly towards Fritz, sending the liquid spilling out. âOh, shit!âÂ
Fritz gave Axl a stale smile as he went to do as he was told, and she kept herself busy by grabbing gloves and goggles. The short brunette never liked having to wear eye protection, they were always a hassle to put on along with her regular glasses so she just didn't wear them most lab days. Maybe this time around she would try though, so she took took her glasses off and attempted to figure out the strap of the goggles. Unfortunately she was so preoccupied with figuring out the right adjustment for the eye wear that she didnât notice her partner fumbling with an extremely dangerous chemical, and as she went to ask him a question tragedy struck. "Hey Axl can you take a look at these for me? I think they'-" She didn't get to finish, because sodium hydroxide was splashed into her right eye. The sensation of the substance eating its way at the tissue in her eye instantly overloaded Fritz's senses and she dropped whatever was in her hands to cover the eye that was already being completely and utterly destroyed by the second.Â
She wasn't usually one who screamed loudly and use vulgarities, it always tended to make an unnecessary scene but this situation seemed to be an exception. âIâM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU WHAT THE FUCK!â Â she continued on like this as she tried to come up with a solution in her head while pacing furiously. Â It was already too late to contain the contact, and the pain was so unbearable if it were any other person they might have heaved over. Fritz didn't though. No, instead through gritted teeth a long calming breath escaped her and she reached for the nearest sharp object. She had done this before on other people with precision, performing an emergency eye removal on herself wouldn't be that much different. After another deep breath she plunged the tweezers into her eye just deep enough not to damage the brain. It was surprising how easy it was to pull out a corroding eye, a sickening squishing sound resounded through the lab that was now in a panic with the professor yelling at her not to touch it and students trying to look away while curiosity ate at them to look. Finally she tore it out of the socket, and grabbed some scissors nearby to cut off any excess muscle still pulling on the eye. Blood was spilling down the side of her face in a large amount, and yet Fritz felt a calm sense of relief now that the eye was out. She turned to Axl with an anguished expression as streams of blood dripped down, and gave him a scowl. "Look what you made me have to do. Eyes don't just grow back Axl."Â
