pearl looking super frazzled (probably because amethyst brought home a box full of shit she found on the side of the road, and the box is filled with live snakes)

i drew her slightly in my style, pls don’t castrate me steven universe fandom

a figurative comic idea about the devil and death personified. it’s probably been done to death (LOL! emily) but i wanted to try my hand at designing the characters. i notice a lot of artists image satan as female and death as male, but my brain sees them as the opposite. both lanky, but pretty opposite in design - the devil is much more jagged and angular, death is wispy and fluid. i wanted to keep them as human-looking as possible, so here they are! i’m not totally satisfied with death, since i wanted to make her much taller than the devil, but i’ll probably revisit the concept.

i do a lot of these stress relieving figure studies, so i figured i'd post one. it always starts with a jagged-looking body, and i add on limbs where they seem to make sense to me if it were an alternate pose. if you mix and match the limbs, the pose emotes differently.
