Studied physics for about two hours before heading to work. Proud of my progress. Had a really good brown sugar shaken espresso.

This christmas break was meant to be used to get ahead in my studies--particularly physics and scholarship applications. However exhaustion has become prevalent in my life, and stagnancy has seemed to take hold of my future. The issue is quite simple, I am not disciplined enough in my studies. Back in freshman year I had studied and mastered difficult subjects for 'fun' and not for necessity, and now that lack of urgency which marked my early gifted student life returns in the most disgusting way. I cannot seem to get out of the depressive rut I am in, and my life seems in shambles for it. Yesterday I spent two hours studying physics and an hour and a half working on scholarships. Out of my whole day I only studied for 3 and a half hours--and who knows if I actually studied during that time or stared blankly at a page! Starting this morning I shall work on waking up 3 hours before work and devoting that time to my studies. It may not be much but it is a start to educational discipline and that is all I need.
