As a female professor who has had an uphill battle in these notes to explain to people why marginalized professors are often stricter about our titles than white men who don’t have trouble being seen as “professors” or respected by students… thank you for being understanding, we truly appreciate it 💜

#personal #we mostly use mr/mrs/ms bc im in an uni of applied sciences #so most of my teachers don't have PHDs n stuff #just a bachelor degree like we will be getting and like years n years of field experience #i think bc of the fact that most of them have the same degree we r trynna get they also see us more as equals??#but there's just usually an age difference since a lot of them don't get into teaching until their 40s LMFAO 💀#so ig it just feels best to still use some sort of honorific?? i do know the odd few that r younger sometimes ask to use first names l9l #like if they r in their 20s like us #oh btw i live in the netherlands but it's an international degree fully in English (and Korean but thats only my language class)

Every time i tell people i buy groceries every 14 days they seem shocked by this and tell me they buy groceries every day or several times a week.

That in turn blows my mind, as someone who couldn’t possibly hate buying groceries more than i do, i can’t imagine doing it that often.

Bonus if you tell me in the tags how you feel about shopping for groceries. Do you hate it with a passion like me? Feel indifferent to it, just another chore? Or do you somehow love it?

#rn once a week but when i lived on my own i went multiple times a week #only bc a) i went to multiple grocery stores spread over my city #b) i also could not carry everything i needed if i were to only go to 1 store #c) i smoke on n off n back then i would only smoke when i walked back home from the store 💀 so i would go multiple times so i could smoke #personal #me
