My dream cats

I had a dream last night where my family got two ragdoll cats. They were two siblings: one of them was a male cat with a tuxedo-fur pattern and the other one a girl with silver-fur.

My mom named the boy Darcy like the male lead from Pride and Prejudice and then I named the girl Piper, like the sandpiper. Yk the disney short?

Silly Game Time: In honor of Diability Pride Month, who are some disabled characters you really like, and why? Their disability could be physical (loss of a limb or function in a limb, loss of a sense such as sight or hearing, chronic pain, etc.). Or it could be mental/emotional (such as a learning disorder, memory issues, emotional disregulation like depression or PTSD, etc.). Or it could be metaphorical/fictional (only really existing within the context of a given story, such as an inability to use magic). It can be congenital or due to an event in the characters' life, partial or complete, treated with medication/prosthesis or completely untreated.

The characters can be from any genre of any media (movies, shows, books, comics, games, etc.) (OCs count, too, if you like). All that matters is that they have some sort of disability, and you like them!

Random biology fact about centipede reproduction:

Centipede reproduction does not involve copulation. Males deposit a spermatophore for the female to take up. There are some parthenogenetic species.

Females protect their eggs and young by curling around them and clean them. Some species sacrifice their bodies for their young to feed on (also known for spiders)

That's really cute. Centipedes are definitely one of the more caring parents of the bug-world that stay with their kids. Most parents of the bug world, mothers and especially the fathers, are dead-beats.

I feel like the best parents of the bug world are:

Termites: Termite colonies are founded by a single male and female (the King and Queen) who stay together for years to raise a family/colony. Unlike most social insects where the majority are female (eg: ants and bees), a termite colony relies on both the male and female to establish the nest, feed the colony, and raise successive generations of offspring.

Wood-Feeding Cockroaches: They’ll stay in a rotten log then eat each other’s wings after they mate (somehow it strengthens their lifelong bond), allowing them to cooperate effectively to protect their nymphs from parasites and mold.

 Passalid Beetles + Burying Beetles stay together and protect their kids. While some burying beetles are more… deadbeat and short-lived when it comes to being together, species living in cooperative environments exhibit strong biparental care. Both the male and female remain together to prepare a carcass as a food source, actively feeding and protecting their larvae.

I feel like moths and butterflies have it the worst when it comes to their families. Would be happy to explain further if you want. :3
