So we're all gonna let the new Harry Potter show die on the vine, right? No hatewatching. No thinkpieces. No videos about how bad it is. Deprive it of oxygen and let it wither away unremarked-upon and unprofitable; make HBO lose their entire investment and prove to the corporate entertainment sphere that the entire IP is poison. And spend that time doing something that brings you joy instead.
Every one always talks about the fucking “come off it, you know I’d die for you” quote but no o e ever talks about the CONTEXT like Lockwood and lucy are literally picked up and thrown around in the air by a poltergeist and then when Lockwood plummets from the sky (and uses an escalator like a slide) watch’s Lucy crash almost certainly to her death into the growing pit in the middle of the floor and just goes ‘yeah George can handle this’ and fucking crawls in after her??? He literally digs around in the rubble until he finds her candle to confirm she’s alive?? He’s presented with two corridors he could go down and just goes ‘no this one has too much water. Lucy would hate that’ and he goes down the other one and he’s fucking right??? He sees Lucy is in danger and without second thought slices the fucking ghost (with his face) in half??? And then Lucy tries to apologize and instead of something like ‘it’s not your fault’ or ‘it’s ok we’re safe now’ no it’s freaking “Come off it, you know I’d die for you” and then he gives her his coat??? And then the walk through the fucking tunnels to escape and she tells him about how she went behind his back and completely disobeyed his trust and instead of being angry he just goes ‘yeah it’s ok just like don’t do it again’ and then drops his fucking nonchalant facade to basically say ‘youre really fucking important to me please don’t leave me’ and then at the end SHE FUCKING LEAVES!!! LUCY JOAN CARLYLE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?
Was still trying to figure out how to draw her during the peak of my hyperfixation so was consistency in room with us? no. Was I having a great time anyway? Absolutely. This baby can pack so much whimsy in her veins
I’m still working on putting together a breakdown but the fact that I learnt so much by making this is making it hard every time I implemented something I learnt a better way of doing it which is probably why it took 5 months to build lmao. Even now the urge to rebuild everything from the ground up is strong, and I’m ngl that urge will probably win. Mainly on a texturing and optimisation level though it’ll still have the same structure.
Anyways I’ve started blocking out the exterior and the sheer size of this thing is insane. (65 THOUSAND SEATS NORA??? THATS TO MANY SEATS!!! Damn near set my desk on fire rendering these the fan was running so hot) I will be trying to post more WIPs though, and maybe a fly through animation of the place but it may kill my mac so no promises.

Short of being inside Nora’s head here is a (mostly) (I think) biblically accurate and to scale model of the Foxhole Court and Nora I have a several questions.
Also rendered so many images of this I had like 50 cameras in the scene would y’all care if I just did a photo dump.
God I have so many things to say about working on this I had to restart like 8 times it was a mess but if I start I won't be able to stop Imao though if anyone's interested in a breakdown of all the sections and materials I would be more than happy to make a post yapping about it.

I really wanna expand this and add the ticket both/ food stalls as well as all the behind the scenes areas like the locker room, foyer, foxes lounge, ect. I’ve been slowly mapping out where everything is so shout out to Neil for being overly anxious and needing to map out the layout and exits of every room he walks into.
