As a sort of update on things, we as a group are doing a lot to try and get both information spread to as many people as possible and to get more people to sign the petition and honestly things wouldn’t be going as far as they would without multiple people coming together to point out things.

From getting messages on strange animation choices to inconsistent audio descriptions and even finding actual scenes that appear to be last minute edited that honestly wouldn’t have been found without people searching and finding the strange instances and bringing them to our attention.

It’s only been a little more than a week since the season dropped and so many people have come together and at the time of writing this post we’re closing in on 21k signatures on the petition. As time goes on, we don’t doubt it’ll prove effective down the line as long as people keep it up and let their voices and opinions be known

This is from the s8 trailer premiered at NYCC and later released on Dec 13th to the public.

This is from s8e6 ‘Clear Day’ as seen on Netflix.

They removed the romantic purple lighting! The trailer was made from the original unedited animation assets, before they changed things. That means whatever is in the NYCC trailer is part of the original s8. And possibly, that the NYCC trailer was made to *advertise* the original s8, not the butchered version.

Is there an established tag yet for the animation discrepancies? Or for this whole debacle? I think I’ll keep using my own tags for them as I find them, but let me know and I’ll add whatever ‘standard’ ones to this post.

hello! i've noticed that traction on the petition has significantly slowed and was wondering if the mods have any plans to try to boost it in order to get the steam rolling again (assuming this tumblr is affiliated with the petition; if not, that's my bad!!). it feels like the silence from dreamworks is just an attempt to wait until we get tired so they can carry on like they don't have a lot of upset, confused fans to answer to.

Sorry if this was sent sooner, we haven’t really been paying attention to the tumblr and focused on our Twitter more often.

We did not start the petition, we just want to promote it as much as we can, and as of right now it seems to have made it to 20,000 signatures, and we’ll continue to promote it to reach any and all milestones we can

As of right now we don’t have the masterpost up as we’re trying to see what went wrong before and keep you guys posted on what we find out. In the meantime you can check out our twitter to know what’s going on with us

We will try to keep you guys updated on what we learn and hope to keep you up to date on possible findings. If you or anyone you know has any sources or actual connections to find out what possibly went on during season 8 of Voltron, don’t be afraid to send us a message. We will not be answering asks that are just theories at the moment, but we will look into any possible example to show that the season is not what the show creators wanted for the final product.
