A virgin tree grows below me.

He stretches towards the sky

as if pulled by a string at its very very tip.

His branches disregard the shrinking space between my thighs

while the trunk pushes up into me

breaking the muscle at the roof of my uterus.

Into the soft flesh of my small intestine

he grows tall and teeters within the cage of my ribs.

A tangle of leaves and limbs burst from my mouth

with fruit dangling at the end.
