A police officer infiltrated the protests for Palestine in Madrid for more than a year
La agente se hacĆa llamar FĆ”tima y se integró en tres colectivos sociales de Madrid durante mĆ”s de un aƱo a raĆz de las protestas contra el
This article is paradigmatic for the state of the pro-Palestine and anti-repressive movements in Spain. On the one hand, the most damning thing; a government whose international relations strategy of the past few years has hinged on its "support" of causes such as Palestine and against the war on Iran, seemingly breaking with imperialist policies, consistently infiltrating the very same movements within it, movements whose most illegal actions, might I add, constitute graffiti and stunts that sometimes require tresspassing. On the other hand, this article demonstrates the very lacking security culture and education in these movements. Besides the obvious fact that they were infiltrated, this article in one of the principal left-wing newssites goes over every single action the police officer committed that arose suspicion. Do they intend to give the police feedback on how to better infiltrate these movements? What is gained by exposing this much detail publicly instead of reserving the analysis to internal documents shared between organizations? The article repeatedly says they want to make sure this one officer isn't able to infiltrate any other movement, but to avoid violating the gag law they only give the officer's real initials and fake name. She's not actually very identifiable from this article and it's not like the police is short on agents that can infiltrate. The main message this article sends to the police and the Spanish government is that the anti-repressive movement still lacks basic notions of security and hermeticity
Donate to a family in need from Gaza šš
The occupation has announced that it will annihilate Gaza City ā and they have been murdering the journalists who are bringing the truth to us...
People do not want to leave Gaza City, as they are starving, weakened, and know that once they leave they will never return ā and they do not have a safe passage to the 'safe zones'.
People will be bombed and sniped either way... 123 people were killed within 24 hours, the death tolls are only increasing, the bombardments are ramping up ā so global pressure and support must ramp up..
Very little food is being sold at exhorbant prices. The trickle of aid getting in is not enough ā the airdrops that western and regional countries boast about are humiliating, they have killed people, and are filled with sand and mould...
Aid seekers have been shot, trampled, tear gassed... did you know that 1,600+ aid seekers have been killed in Gaza? They came with empty bullets, and got bullets instead... people have been kidnapped at these sites and held in detention... this isn't aid ā its slaughter.
The trucks that are getting in get looted, and fave heavy constraints from the occupation. Our donations are helping people get food, and they are helping people not have to risk their lives...
Without a doubt, your donations are crucial, and a lack of donations can sent people to their deaths...
HelloĀ
If you can afford to buy a cup of coffee, you can afford to help Mohammed Youssef ( @mokahaed ) and his family... he has five children ā and they have been subjected to genocide and torture that no child should ever have to face... ever.
They are verified, number 88 on the @/gazavetters list ... and also verified here.
The last donation was 44 minutes ago as I write this.
"After our homes were completely destroyed, displacement number 14 has now been made from Al-Tuffah neighborhood in northern Gaza. My family of 27 and I do not own anything due to the sudden flight from the area. We do not even have the most basic necessities of life. No food, no clothing, no drink. I was not even able to bring a tent due to the urgent evacuation request from the area."
Could you imagine ?? please donate if you can...

i see a lot of criticism towards 17776 along the lines of āugh if humanity actually stopped aging or dying and people really did just live forever they would not spend their time playing football⦠that is not what EYE would do with MY timeā¦. this is so unrealisticā¦.. clearly the author just wanted to write about sports ššā and like. yeah. yes. exactly. jon bois is a sports writer and sports analyst who wanted to examine why people love sports and why sports have cultural staying power and why he especially finds sports compelling and what sports have to say about the human condition and our ability to care. so he made up a fake scenario about humans being immortal and then he made it about sports. and he wrote about sports. the story is titled āwhat sports will look like in the future.ā if that isnāt something that you can vibe with then maybe the story simply is not for you
he should have written about a young witch trying to solve the disappearance of her neighbour's cat in a small village in the alps

I made a script that takes any audio file, and makes it sound like it was recorded on a potato. It does this by blocking everything except the 8 loudest frequencies at any moment, and shifting them all to the same phase.
I want to show you an example but Tumblr isn't letting me upload the world's worst MP3.
The Man wouldn't let me upload the X-Files theme but you can have this
A lot of people have gotten too comfortable with the 'the person most likely to abuse or rape a woman is her immediate friends and family' statistic for my liking.
The female body is one that is seen as always open to some level of violation and assault. Femaleness alone is enough to make ones body vulnerable even when not compounded with other vectors of oppression (which naturally heighten and intensify this vulnerability to various extremes). This includes in public. And this includes by strangers.
Women are constantly scrutinised, ever piece of their body, clothing, grooming, display of emption etc. is seen as acceptable to comment on to try to mould it to the viewers in question preferences. and this scrutiny and entitlement DOES translate into assault and mal treatment in public by strangers. Women are groped on trains and buses, on busy streets and night clubs. In pubs and at museums. They are shoved into on the streets and knocked out of the way by busy men angry that any woman dare be in their path.
The world is, to put it simply, constantly attacking and violating the boundaries of women's bodies. This includes in public and by strangers.
And while the worst, most frequent, and extreme abuse is preformed by the people who have the highest access to and power over the woman in question (bosses, colleagues, boyfriends, fathers, friends etc.), the fact that the recognition of this in many circles had lead to so many people dismissing entirely WHY some women feel some level of discomfort in public places, why some women don't like going out alone as them 'giving in to fear-mongering' and being 'true-crimed brained' and not accurately reflecting 'the evidence/statistics' is an example of misogyny in and of itself.
To see all examples or conversations around the frequency of female bodily violation in public by strangers as inherently 'reactionary' means glazing over a key part of how patriarchy seeks to violated and subordinate women in their day to day lives.

I get the historical reasons for it but it's still wild to me that "[Person name] and the [nouns]" used to be such a common band name pattern. If I was forming a pop/rock band in the 50's/60's and the singer/band leader/most famous member proposed calling ourselves that I'd try to convince everyone else to beat him up together.
Is there anything sadder than the little chunk of Kikis Delivery Service when Kiki says āI used to really like flying before it was my jobā and then gets so burned out that her magic stops working and she cant talk to Jiji anymore and she tries so hard to FORCE the magic that she breaks her mothers broom and stays up all night, alone, trying to make a new one and crying?
And I know it is all ok in the end- Kiki has friends who look out for her and she takes care of herself and finds her place.
But fuck, those 20 minutes just hurt my heart so much.
