What’s a favorite documentary of yours. There’s lots of them on YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc. if you haven’t found one yet.  Give ‘em a shot!  Why do you like the documentary so much? Are they just reporting information, or is there a hidden meaning/motive in the documentary? How is that shown in the documentary?

My favorite documentary is “They call us monsters” and it’s on netflix. It’s so good because it gives real life events that have been done by boys and are on trail. They are reporting information that you can see when the boys are writing the script and begin to show how they’re trying to tell a story. Putting it into a psychological setting, those documenting this film are showing how the boys feel even though they are trialed for some pretty serious things. They’re reporting on their feelings toward the situation and how they grew up.

Congrats, Guys! You just finished your first paper for the class. You survived!  Now, what I’d like you do do for this post is a bit of a reflection.

What were some issues you had? Were they expected? Unexpected? What about your successes? What are some things you are really proud of in this paper, and what are some things you wish you could go back and change?

Okay honestly I thought I was going to be able to write this paper nice and easy, but I just could not figure out how I wanted to format it! I was not expected to be stuck on something so easy. A success is how I was able to understand the music video with the detail. I would go back and change the format because I feel like I was not able to precisely go in the order that I wanted to.

I chose Jhene Aiko “While We’re Young” to write my narrative paper about. I chose the particular video because when I was going through it her songs really lifted up my spirit and it’s just her soothing voice that brings me to a calm state of mind. In the video I like what story is being presented. I love love stories!
