a collection of many small moments to comprise of my october diary. last month had a lot of happy moments scattered throughout, but also it was the month where my anxiety hit the peak(!) yoikes ;u; it just really felt like things (that i’m particularly happy about) are always changing and happening to me, and i have to “accept” them. but, at least i think this month i’ve finally stopped resisting as much, which has a helped a lil’ bit! maybe next month i’ll start feeling good about the changes?? haha baby steps u know (´・ω・`)

I’ve seen a lot of master posts like this by other studyblrs, but I often get overwhelmed by the many options they recommend for each function; so I thought I’d share the ones that I find work the best for me :)

Drawboard PDF - helpful for annotating and reading PDFs!

Grammarly - great for correcting English grammar!

Virtual Cottage - very cute lil productivity tracker; plays lofi & rain sounds, kind of like forest but cuter! Has a full-screen option.

Discord - ok this isn’t a study app, but given that we’re at home a lot of clubs at my school use servers on Discord to organize & hold meetings!

this picture is from almost a year ago when i was actually on campus. i’m missing these peaceful moments and quiet study spaces a little bit extra today. even more, i’m missing the moments i spent with friends on campus that were pure joy. even in the midst of busy seasons, i hope you are all staying in touch with the people who make you feel loved and your heart feel warm!

First month of uni almost done and my god I have never ever been so busy in my entire life. The fact that there isn’t a clear schedule because of everything that’s going on definitely doesn’t help. Hopefully I’ll get used to it soon and will figure out some things like how long doing certain types of assignments take me to do nd stuff like that.

However, the autumnal stormy season that I longed for is finally here so it will get better.

What clothing style do you wear: I tend to wear all different styles but my most common style is like soft light academia type stuff. 

Your favorite scent: Pumpkin spice/autumn 

What are your hobbies: I love writing (especially with a fountain pen), reading, and dancing. 

Is there anything you want to try/learn in the future: I would like to try to become fluent in Russian again. 

Tell me about your day so far: My day has been pretty great so far! I got A’s in my two fast track courses so I decided to treat myself and I did my nails this morning, which is something I never usually do. I also lit a new candle and it smells like autumn so I’m in a good mood. 

Do you have pets: Yup, four! I have a 12 years old golden retriever, another 7 year old golden, a 3 year old german shepard/black lab mix, and a maybe 3 year old husky. They are a lot but I love them more than anything. 

Languages you’re speaking/learning: English (obviously) and I used to speak Russian and Ukrainian but once I moved to America I stopped speaking them so I sort of forgot them. 

Your favorite documentary: I haven’t watched too many documentaries recently but I’m going to be watching one soon called American Murder: The Family Next Door on Netflix.

I really don’t feel like studying today, especially since my professor assigned around 200 pages for us to read for tomorrow… why u bully me, professor? I find it really difficult to both engross myself in the material but also take notes at the same time when I have so much to read. Alas, nothing to do about it other than get to work. luckily, I happen to be accompanied by my kitty, some cold brew ice coffee and chill lo-fi tunes. it’ll be alright, i’ll do just fine!
