Worked on a post for my discourse blog, exploring the legality behind the arrest and investigation of famed YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra.
Made a list of my study resources (Newspapers, monthlies, bi-weeklies, yearbook, etc.) and planned as to how to consume and study them.
Continued work on my internship diary and studied the applicability of S. 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, to work on a legal notice.
Answered almost all unanswered texts and decluttered my mail inbox and gallery a little.
Planned out my tomorrow (the question is how well I stick to it)
Finally got to hang out with my best friend today <3
i love reading, i love thinking about what i am currently reading, i love thinking about what i am going to read next, i love being privileged enough to be able to read, read, read, and read so much that i never tire of it
*booktok voice* Do you want to read a gay story about two guys who speedrun enemies to lovers, go against their designed nature by being together, who become unstoppable fighting side by side to much dismay of the gods who created them? Do you want to see one of them eaten alive by the grief for his lover when he dies from a godsent sickness? A book about someone fighting so hard for a chance at eternal life that he doesn't notice he is throwing away the precious time he has got, filling it with agony? Well, in the 2100 BCE poem of Gilgamesh-
I prefer my hotel room not being cleaned because it’s full with law school stuff and they will think I‘m psychotic for bringing all of this

Yesterday I didn't have class because of a national holiday, and despite the fact that last thing I thought I'd use the day off to study a bit I decided to take the day off. It was very much needed. I went on a short walk in the morning with a friend, and then in the afternoon I managed to read a bit and relax. Today is also a no lecture day, because there would be a conference I decided to skip. What I should do is plan my studying for the rest of the month but I am not sure that I will do that today. I will work some more on my anthropology materials, tho I am starting to be not 100% sure on whether I'll be able to take the exam in July as planned. And then I might review a bit of the materials for my other exam.
On today's to do list:
anthropology ch2 - catch up with writing notes for things I have read
anthropology ch2 - continue reading and underlining
early modern globalization review?
figure out commute for tomorrow
get some non-academic reading done

Woke up at 7am as usual and went to the library at around 9am, stayed until 1:30 pm and then came back home to have lunch. I actually did some good progress on the coding assignment so I’m very happy but I’m still at 1/3 of the total so i gotta keep grinding! Going bouldering this afternoon so I hope it’s gonna be fun.
your struggling does not mean you are failing. it means you are putting in the effort despite it being difficult.

Hi, what is your best tips for someone who spoke French the last time was like five years ago (in the process of B2 at that time), totally stop learn it, and this morning impulsively enrolled for DELF B1 and will have the exam in two weeks?
Hello,
In no particular order:
Read, read, read (France Info, Slate, Geo, le Huffington Post, Google News, etc.) about topics you enjoy and about the news (culture, society, tech - my DELF debate topic was tobacco usage on campus)
Read a paragraph out loud to your computer and see if it picks up what you're saying (speech-to-text)
Look up lists of ice-breaking questions and answer them (one orally, one in writing), with the help of Deepl and WordReference
Review the conjugations of être, avoir and aller (especially the perfect, present conditional, simple future and subjunctive - those last two are very similar)
Make sure to remember when to use the imperfect and the perfect and that French doesn't typically like the passive voice (I had my bag stolen: they stole my bag - on m'a volé mon sac)
Book me if you can - slight pronunciation corrections and pointers about grammar or syntax can change everything
Test yourself with a mock exam and make sure to read about the expectations so you know what to prioritise
Record voice notes on your phone talking about your day and listen to them the next day to see if you understand yourself
Good luck! x

02.04.25 || unfortunately, European law too
And just like that, it's just one month left until my next exam. Time flies, while I am stuck on the ground. I had my first meetup with my new study group today and we all seem to be on different levels and very exhausted about this exam already. The Professor announced that it will be on international law *and* European law, which is a lot for just one exam. So I'll be studying a bit more tonight instead of writing, which is pitiful, but what can you do. Fingers crossed, that we all pass x
All the best
AJ
