“ feel free to say hi whenever you like ”
Naveen didn't understand why more people came to adress him at times. When he just joined Andromeda they were eager to put him in his place, but now it was like they didn't even dare to say hello. "If it's about the tabloids the info is false, no one is pregnant - and yes I'm suing them for slander." He normally didn't but he got tired of this occuring every two years. He was a loyal guy, and right now only one girl held his heart. Ashley A.

in hindsight it was likely that if they had ever been at the same events in the past that they didn’t even notice each other since being in separate circles. they may both be from money but they had their own things going on back then. naveen being the business man and ashley being the poster child for the armbruster family. ashley didn’t take much notice of people at those types of events unless they were the ashleys or they were people that her parents had steered her towards talking to. she spent her time there in a numb state that helped her tolerate the events. numb was the best word to describe ashley armbruster. it turns out money didn’t buy happiness and the endless amounts of material goods she had didn’t put a dent in the void she felt.
he’d find her. she didn’t doubt it. he found her through the massive crowds at the festival and he found her now when she had hidden herself away from the world. “I know” she whispered back. they didn’t say a lot but it was personal, it was intimate and ashley knew he meant what he was saying.
peace was a feeling that she really wasn’t aware of ever feeling before up until this moment and she owed that feeling to naveen.
she was accustomed to being around him now. he’d worked his way in. over time she picked up on mannerisms and reactions from him that she now was in tune with when it came to their dynamic. he was as sarcastic as she was but he wasn’t as mean as her. He was stubborn but it always came with the best intentions. his intelligence was obvious and it brought out the best in ashley, he challenged her and had her actually interested in what he was saying compared to other people that try to talk to her. he didn’t let her name be a factor, he knew ashley for ashley. now he loved her. he loved her. she repeated it to herself in her head. he loved her…and she loved him, that much she’d came to the realisation to.
it was the first time she could see someone standing with her. not behind her as a follower but beside her as an equal. someone that supported her instead of telling her what they thought she wanted to hear.
her eyes stared up at him, a flurry of emotions crossing them with a smile of her own on her lips “queenie? are you taking the role of king?” she gently teased, her eyes briefly closing when she felt his lips on her forehead.
a forever kind of thing. she loved this man, truly. he wore his heart on his sleeve for her “for the record naveen, I would want it to be a forever kind of thing too.” it would take time for her to utter the I love you words since she was so closed off before him but she was working on it. it was no secret between them that her words confirmed that she reciprocated the feelings.
~
How did this even began? With him in front of a line ordering food and she taunting him and pressing all of his buttons at once. Them dancing at the party, intoxicated by fairy dust. Had he seen her sooner, at parties. He couldn’t recall. Maybe she had been there, maybe he had failed to notice her before that day of the festival. But she was here now, Ashley Armbruster in all of her glory. In all of her beauty and sarcastic wits. And he loved, oh he loved every-single-part. She would never be a throphy wife, she’d be the queen of the household. He could never treat her as her parents had done, he was too smitten for it. She kept him grounded. And one day he’d make her the happiest woman alive.
Its as been said before, he’d find her. He’d find and protect and love her. There was no inbetween because it was all Ashley deserved. He pressed his forehead against her, as if he tried to keep her grounded for once. To make her steady and secure. He wouldn’t let her fall.
Peace was one of the things he could offer her. He wasn’t here to make her life another thurmoil. He was here to give her the thing she had been missing in her life. The right to be whoever she was.
She understood him, knew when he was serious and when he was not. Knew when he was hurting and how to offer him comfort. She knew how to play with him, outsmart him and keep him wanting more of her. More of her smiles, and now more of her lips. She was as stubborn as he was, and he loved that about her. He wouldn’t need to worry about hurting her, because she could take it. He also knew when to stop because her feelings mattered to him and the last thing he wanted to do was sadden her. All he needed was for her to love him back. And with the way she looked at him, Naveen found himself hopeful that she did.
She belonged next to him, he was certain of it. They could both roll their eyes at the events their parents dragged them to, and find an escape to get lost in their world. A better place. A happier place.
“Since you rule my world, I wouldn’t need to be king. I’d settle for prince charming.” He teased, though deep down he meant it. He had no need to be a king, she had the power for the both of them. As long as he’d be with her, they both would be unstoppable. A power couple no one had seen before.
His heart poured over the moment she told him she wanted it to be a forever kind of thing too. So much that he couldn’t resist to hug her close and whisper. “Ashley Armburster would you give me the honor to kiss you?”

for two people that circulated in the same social circles and status of wealth, it was baffling how they had never really crossed paths until the festival. turns out unfortunate events can lead to new beginnings. there truly was no one like naveen in ashleys eyes. something about their energies were drawn to each other and ashley can honestly say she had never felt anything like that before naveen. not only was he whip smart but he challenged her, he annoyed her to no end but he brought out the best in her which was something the other people in her life hadn’t done, not in the way he managed to do. “yes well I did say I’ll be taking that on in future thanks to you” he was bold, he was brave and even if security found him she was certain that he’d manage to charm his way out of it.
she had dozed off before she had a chance to answer his other question. turns out having him around was enough to put her mind at ease.
he had wedged her way into her life and now she really couldn’t see her life without him in it. that feeling that settled in ashleys chest was something that she didn’t think she’d ever feel. And now that she felt it she didn’t want it to go. she didn’t want him to go. her dream had convinced her of that. dream naveens confession of love and proclamation of giving his heart to her had ashley reaching her own realisation that she too felt that. love. it was love. in that epiphany, she swore she would be by his side as long as he would put up with her sour lemon attitudes and pouty faces. she’d be by his side when he needed her for support and reassurance that the media were vile. he had turned her soft and she didn’t mind it.
before ashley had gotten up from her bed she had stolen a glance at him and saw his eyes were closed. she felt the desire to trace her fingertips along his features but she restrained herself. his jawline, his nose and the corners of his mouth – even though that area was reserved for his dumb smug smirks and smiles that she’d grown to like despite the frequent feeling of annoyance thanks to him knowing just the right ways to tease her.
standing at her balcony, ashley didn’t hear him approaching and when she felt his arms snake around her waist she jumped slightly at the touch since she thought he was still sleeping. resting her hands on his, ashley closed her eyes and leaned back against his chest. she took a deep breath and let it out while she listed to his words about the sunrise, enjoying the peace that she felt. a soft smile found its way to her lips at his cheesy line. she’d never tell him but she found his cheesy lines endearing.
her eyes opened at his words. did she hear that right? was she still asleep? it couldn’t be true, could it? ashley turned to face him and stared up at his face with adoration in her eyes “is this a dream?”
In reality it wasn’t that strange for the both of them to not meet. Naveen hadn’t lived in Andromeda that long. And even then he was on a plane often for business negotiations. He rarily attented those fancy parties unless he felt that it went to a good cause. His money wasn’t made for getting wealthier, though he made sure he never lacked anything. If anything Naveen was the robin hood among the rich people, though he didn’t steal and wasn’t a beggar himself. He did give a lot to the poor, but not through donations. He didn’t believe in such a cause. He gave it to the people he felt that deserved it, personally. And it was something he was proud of. His compation. Having the power to change someone’s life and even more make them smile. It’s what Naveen wanted to be known for. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the remark Ashley made. He’d find her no matter how securly she would hide herself. “I’d find you.” He softly promised. He’d bet his life on it.
As her eyes closed he found himself staring at her for a moment, how serene she looked and calm. As if for a moment she didn’t have to worry. It was a nice look on her, Naveen could only wish for that gaze to be on her more often.
Naveen was drawn to Ashley, drawn to her soul and her mind. To the snarky remarks she made at time, and how her lip softly pouted when she was upset. How her hands would move when she was annoyed to her lips dripping with words, at time meaningless but never unimportant. Of course he couldn’t resist the opportunity to be truthful to her. Tell her he loved her and how he was hers. It was love. It couldn’t be anything else but love. He loved her for herself, not for her name, not for her looks. But for her heart. For the way she got him grounded. For the way she made him better. Because that is what she did. She made him a better version of himself.
He couldn’t remember when he fell asleep, but he rememebered it happened while looking at her. With his longing growing with every minute. A longing to intertwine their hands and carress her face. Pet her hair and kiss her forehead.
Naveen couldn’t remember a time in his life where he had ever felt like he belonged. And he belonged next to her, and she belonged next to him. Perhaps that is why when she woke up he had to tell her. That it was her he loved.
He placed his hand against her cheek and softly smiled. “No, Queenie. You are very much awake. And I, I am very much in love with you.” And with that he kissed her forehead.
“It wasn’t like I planned to keep that a secret forever Ashley, but being here with you - I can’t help but think I want it to be an forever kind of thing.”

tj-detweiler:
from what tj is heard of the rumour mill, he did not like this guy. naveen was recognisable. tj didn’t know him personally but he’d seen him around town and in the press. but the main thing he didn’t like about this guy was that he has been seen around with the one person that tj wanted. no sir, tj did not like this guy.
“nah, i just didn’t want to have to get up to go to the bar all the time. why’re you here? you’re not a regular around this place” it was an observation but the alcohol may have had it coming out harsher.
Naveen however had absolutely no clue who this individual was. He didn’t mind him either, he didn’t know how he felt about Ashley, so he didn’t really have a reason to dislike him. In fact it was a rarity in itself for Naveen to dislike anyone. Sure he didn’t really like the gold diggers and he didn’t really like those scam people and women who pretended he was the father to their child. Which case by case had proven he wasn’t.
“Was in the mood for a drink. I can’t say I am a regular, no.” He agreed. Bars weren’t his thing to begin with, he was more a restaurant type of guy. But he wasn’t against trying new things once in a while. “Smart idea though.”
ashley-armbruster:

she didn’t know how else to describe their dynamic, it was in a league of its own compared to the others she had in her life. it was a refreshing change. she found herself valuing his opinion over others -the ashleys included- and on more than one occasion he’s managed to successfully change her mind on something; which was impressive considering how stubborn she is. she found herself valuing him more than she should. she knew it was dangerous territory to let feelings become involved and right now she felt in over her head. “you’ve planned to speak to them about us being partners in crime?” at first she thought he was joking but the look on his face was anything but that and for the first time ashley was genuinely stunned silent.
it seemed like no matter how many times or how hard she pushed him away he always came back and ashley had reached the realisation that pushing him away to make their lives easier was in fact one of the factors that had made this complicated thanks to naveens perseverance of coming back to her. he always came back to her. something that had ashley had never experienced before, not in this way. naveen was something that she hadn’t experienced before. he was stable. he was reliable. he was safe. ashley knew her parents wouldn’t make this easy and even worse she knew the other ashleys wouldn’t. sure they would accept what ashley says but that doesn’t mean they would give naveen a pass when they were alone with him. if he could be around them and last then he could last anything. she admired his determination, his integrity and how honest he was even if it meant revealing his vulnerability. how he could always tell what her mood was and made it his mission to cheer her up. she adored how much he looked out for others and would go the extra mile. she adored his snarky-ness and how he would always challenge her, it drove her to be a better person. he was like a warm blanket being wrapped around her frozen bones.
“i’m aware, a guy gave me a vial of his own saliva one time, it was revolting. it’s part of the reason why my parents upped the family security” people were strange, more importantly desperate people were unpredictable.
she felt a sense of pride that she had said something that meant a lot to him.
ashleys eyes had closed and she let sleep consume her as soon as it could. her mind was still running when she was unconscious and she felt like she was in a dream. nothing dramatic to start off, it was like she was still sitting in her room with her head on naveens shoulder and their hands intertwined. she figured she must have been dreaming since she soon heard the faint sounds of an ‘I love you ashley’ leave his lips and it set her soul alight. following dream naveens confession, ashley turned her face inwards and burrowed into his neck.
when ashley had awoken a few hours had passed. turning over in her bed she looked at the clock to see three hours had passed. it was better than nothing. ashley got up from her bed carefully to avoid waking naveen if he was sleeping and wandered out onto her balcony, looking out at the sunrise. she couldn’t get that dream out of her head. she couldn’t get the words out of her head.
There wasn't quite a story out in the world like the one Naveen and Ashley were writing. But had Naveen been the one to write it, it certainly would have been filled with descriptions of his longing for her. The texture of her hair on his fingers. That feeling of his fingers brushing against hers. Not quite like lovers but at the same time just as special. And it wasn't like Naveen didn't hold any love for her. Rather, she had become someone unreplaceable to him. "Why not? What is the worst they can do? Higher security?" So far they didn't do the greatest job with that.
It didn't have any value to push him away, Naveen had already decided he'd walk next to her for as long as she would allow him. Then again even if she didn't allow him he'd still be there. After all - he was in love with her and he wanted to be the one that she could be herself with. She was like a magnet, pulling him in. And all he wanted to give her was safety and love. To make her feel like the queen she was, and spoil her like a princess. Carry her burdens so she doesn't have to deal with it alone.
Even now he longed to kiss her fingertips, stroke her hear, and tell her nothing but sweet words. Well maybe tease her a little too, but that was just a way of showing his affection to her.
"That's gross." His face told him how disgusted he felt by the idea of it. "Then again easy DNA like hard to deny in court. You plan to go into law right? Why the law of all things? Is it due to a strong sense of justice or?" He hoped it was something like that. Instead of something she was forced into doing by her parents.
He smiled as Ashley nuzzled closer to him. It warmed his heart to know that he could be a safe haven to her. So he brought her hand to his lips and kissed the palm of her hand. He read once about its meaning. "I give my heart to you." He said, smiling fondly.
As hours had passed, Naveen had closed his eyes. Yet he wasn't sleeping. Though the shifting of the bed told him that Ashley had woken up. He waited to see what she would do, and his eyes fluttered open to see her at the balcony.
So he stood up. Moved towards her and wrapped his arms around her with a soft smile. "This is the first time I see the sunrise in Andromeda. It certainly is beautiful. But you know Ashley, you actually outshine it."
He let her go for a minute, that same soft smile on his lips. "Ashley, I love you."
tj had been in mount olympus for the best part of the day. he was off work and he had no classes so he was going to do what he did best: drink himself stupid and then end up getting involved in some sort of clownery antics. to save himself from going back and forth to the bar he had ordered in bulk and was currently working his way through all the drinks that were littering the table at an impressive rate. his eyes wandered and set on someone looking at him.
“i know i look dashing but are you joining me here or are you just going to stare?”
Naveen didn’t often go out drinking, for a numerous of reasons but press being the main one. But after what happened with Ashley he found himself overthinking and it seemed like he needed to take his mind off of things. He noticed a guy, with quite a grand order - which reminded him of when he met Ashley...really his mind just took things to her even if he wanted it or not. He chuckled when the guy responded to him.
“That’s cute, is that how you scored all those drinks?”
@tj-detweiler
ashley-armbruster:
unique was a good term to describe naveen and ashley. their whole dynamic was the exact definition of it. from the time they first met at the festival under the influence of their spiked drinks right down to the conversations they had along with the actions that followed. “partner in crime? while that is an appealing idea i would probably let you squirm under the interrogation of my parents and the armbruster family security for a while” she teased back.
goddamn naveen had managed to worm his way into her life. he wasn’t supposed to be able to do that. this made things complicated. she was an ashley. she was ashley armbruster. she was supposed to get her degree in law, have a thriving career, keep up appearances with the family and then marry whomever her parents deems valuable enough both financially and socially. it wasn’t supposed to include feelings and whatever this was with naveen had definitely started to include that. it was why she was always so cold and tried to push him away all the time but of course he was as stubborn as she was and for some reason he kept coming back. they were both too stubborn for their own good, they bickered like an old married couple and on more than one occasion she had considered throwing the nearest item she could find at him because he managed to annoy her so much, but she never followed through. as much as she would’ve done it to anyone else she couldn’t bring herself to do it to him. she wanted him to have things. she wanted him to be happy and find that love in life he was always going on about, and if ashley was honest, she wanted to be that for him.
“and why are you worried? people take one look at this fortress surrounded by security and back off…well most so, not you. you take it as a challenge to climb in” which was something she actually found pretty impressive when she thought about it.
ashley raised an eyebrow at him and shrugged softly “you don’t have to thank me. we both know how the media can be and they can’t be trusted. they value readers over the truth” and they did. there were plenty of times that things came out over the years that were just plain ridiculous. ashley would be a fool to believe the articles over the people she knew.
the look he gave her had her waiting for words from him but they never came. it peaked her curiosity but now wasn’t the time to push him to say something.
that was a fair evaluation. she did hurl her phone across the room and she had no intentions of looking at it anytime soon. “i can’t argue with you on that one, even though it practically pains me to say that to you” she mumbled, the exhaustion ever more present in her voice. “i think i do” she whispered, lacing her fingers with his when he held her hand and giving his a soft squeeze in return. his words were the comfort and reassurance her head needed to be able to finally accept the sleep that it was fighting. ashley moved to rest her head on his shoulder and felt her eyes flutter closed, waiting to drift off.
Unique truly was the only term that fitted Ashley and Naveen the most. There was a lot of tip-toeing going on, and it wasn’t because Naveen was scared of being rejected, okay maybe a little bit, but it was because he didn’t know when to tell her. It was just a matter of time. “You know that eventually that is exactly what I have planned right.” He looked at her, and it was evident he wasn’t really playing. “If it’s that big of a deal that I get their permission to hang around with you, I’ll just go and have that annoying talk.”
It was too late now. Naveen was a part of Ashley’s life, it was too late for the both of them to go back. The more Ashley pushed him away the closer Naveen wanted to be. And the closer Naveen got to Ashley the more satisfied he was. Satisfied, no that wasn’t the correct emotion. It was beyond adoration at this point. He couldn’t imagine a life without her anymore. She made it feel right. She was home. It wasn’t like he didn’t understand the chalenge because his parents were close to the same. Image was everything. But he also knew that Ashley would be the perfect image in their eyes. She was smart, she was beautiful, she was perfect even if she didn’t think she was, and her flaws made her to who she was and it was exactly that what Naveen loved about her. He loved the softness of her hair and the way her eyes reflected him. He loved her mouth and the snarky remarks coming out from it. He loved her hands and the way she moved them as she talked. And he loved her as a person, radiant yet cold. Yet the warmth he felt when being with her could have burned him. She was the one, and he wanted to be the one for her too.
“There are a lot of creeps in this world, I mean I had people throw themselves in front of my car for money.” If people were desperate enough, trouble could ensure.
He nodded, it wasn’t that he didn’t understand the reasoning. But you couldn’t help but feel worried nonetheless. He was the same taking everything with Ashley as a grain of salt. He trusted her in the end. “I know but it still means a lot to me nonetheless.”
the words would end up falling eventually anyway.
He smiled brightly when she admitted he was right because that certainly didn’t happen often between the two of them and it made him feel giddy.
He looked at her, as her eyes fell close and she drifted to sleep, only when he was certain she actually was the words he held in tumbled out of his mouth as a soft whisper. “I love you Ashley.”
ashley-armbruster:
unique. he was exactly that. that was something she couldn’t disagree with. “that’s not my problem, that’s something that you would need to explain to them. i’m not giving you a hand with that one” she noted with a smirk. one that was’t her usual one, this one was tired and it didn’t reach her eyes. it would be morning soon, it wasn’t far from it. his words felt deeper than what she would normally interpret if it was someone else were to say them to her. it wasn’t like anyone else was there. the ashleys weren’t there. it was him. “okay” it came out in a hushed whisper between them.
if anyone else had approached her with the brazen confidence that naveen had she would have shot them down in an instant. but for some reason he was like a boomerang that kept coming back to her when she pushed him away like everyone else. he’d wormed his way in and ashley had grown accustomed to him being around. dare say she even enjoyed his company.
ashley raised an eyebrow at his comment “is someone jealous at the idea of other people in my bedroom?”
she could understand his frustrations at the media. the armbrusters had had their fair share of media outlets reporting on them over the years but being made out to be a womanising player was something that she knew bothered naveen. “not that it matters, but if it’s any consolation i know you’re not like that” they’d gotten to know each other pretty well in the short time they’d known each other and nothing about naveen had confirmed what the media was saying about him. in fact it was as if media naveen and the naveen that ahsley knew were two separate people. she had no doubts about him denying those rumours.
“most would call or text, not scale the side of a building and a balcony.” she said, rolling over in her bed to face him. “if i fall asleep are you going to stay here?” it was a rare moment of vulnerability that surprised even her. if she wasn’t so exhausted it probably wouldn’t have been said. probably.
Unique. It was something that could both be a blessing on a curse depending on how your look on the world was. If you let the views of others affect your way of living. If you decide to act rather than to be true to yourself. It was true that Naveen had moments where he couldn’t be himself for the sake of business. “And here I was thinking you’d be my partner in crime.” He teased, though he felt sympathetic to her. She looked so tired, and he honestly wished for her to get the opportunity to sleep. He noticed the change as well and he had to still the urge to put his hand through her hair and softly stroke it. Instead, he waited for a little bit more to listen to her. Trying to figure out what she had been thinking, perhaps even feeling.
He nodded.
The truth was he didn’t know how this happened between them. But he didn’t regret it. He’d always bounce back to her. Reality had it that the soft fondness he held for her had already grown to the big scary feeling he once dreaded so much. Love. Somewhere among the line, Ashley made him fall for her, not a little. But a lot. He wanted to be with her, tell everything would be alright. Give her the chance to be her real self, her true self, the one she couldn’t be due to her parents. And he wanted to be with that Ashley, the Ashley that starts fights with him for often no real reason. Their bickering was what he loved most, followed by her eyes - strong yet broken but capable to look right through you.
He had to swallow.
“More worried if you think about it.” A lot of people with bad intentions could enter her room. He’d never allow it, she just had to be safe.
He didn’t care about the media, truly he didn’t. But he did worry if Ashley would believe what the papers were saying. He used to have a crush on Tiana and she believed every word of it. But- Ashley seemed different. She never asked him anything when a new paper came out. It was as if she trusted him. And then she told him exactly what he needed to hear. “Thank you.” He whispered against the soft breeze from the open window.
And then he looked at her as if he wanted to tell her something. But he couldn’t. Not yet, not right now.
He smiled. “You just threw your phone because it was buzzing so much. I think this method just did the trick.” His smile softened at her question. “If you want me to.” Before he knew it he put his hand in hers and gave it a comforting squeeze. “You can sleep Ashley, I’ll keep you safe. I promise.”
ashley-armbruster:
“i’m aware but that objective applies to the rest of the population that are aware of the general rule of not climbing into other peoples homes” she said rolling her eyes. of course he’d challenge it. “and what makes you think you know what’s better for me than those other people?” she asked, partly as a counter question but due to his answer catching her curiosity. for a moment she wondered what the hell he was doing but when she saw him hide her phone on a drawer she couldn’t help but be thankful for his action “thank you” she muttered. a rare two words that hardly ever passed her lips together. “well it’s obvious my parents don’t have one of those. i’ll need to take charge of that in future. i can’t have anyone just climbing into my bedroom”
“hmm…surely. then again it depends on what situations you’d allow drama”
she would have to find out who the little bird was that felt the need to go chirping about her life. ashley was a private person, she didn’t care for people knowing about her business unless she deemed them worthy to know. “that was a big risk to take. you could have got here and just looked like a creep” she wasn’t sure why she hadn’t kicked him out the minute he arrived. with anyone else she would have. “i outrank stefan? lucky me.” she noted “so why are you here and not in your own bed? surely you have important things to do like sleeping for example”
“What can I say, I always have been a little unique.” He teased, not even bothered with the fact she was bothered he climbed her balcony. “And how would I explain to your parents I wanted to visit their daughter in such an hour. They probably tell me to come back in the morning.” Which with how time was passing by wouldn’t take too long either. He pondered however a bit over her question. “I don’t think I do know better, but if my actions can help you than that's enough for me.” That was one way too put: ‘I’m worried about you please let me take care of you’ doesn’t it?
He too knew that that thank you wasn’t out for everyone. He already considered himself a little special in Ashley’s book. Of course, it was the same way for him, he didn’t enjoy spending time with people yet here he was, climbing a girl's balcony cause a rumor started that she wasn’t fine. He really took a deep tumble, didn’t he?
He nodded. “I don’t like the idea of strangers getting in your bedroom either.” It was a small confession, harmless really.
He shrugged. “I’m used to people misunderstanding me, the media makes me out to be a giant flirt that has a new partner every week.” The truth was a lot different. Naveen actually was the once he fell for someone he feel for them deeply and couldn’t even think of himself with someone else. Perhaps that was all the more reason he wanted to be here right now. With the belief that somewhere deep down Ashley might need him. It was enough for him to be there. And it was enough for him to take the risk.
“Like I said, I heard you weren’t feeling your usual self. Do I need more of a reason than that?” He asked her. She was hard to figure out, and he wondered what she was thinking right now. “I can sleep tomorrow.”

Today's been a good day. Mood: Wanna listen to baby shark on repeat Also Mood: Not wanting to deal with these feelings for *rest is scribbled out*
nalaxengelbrecht:
“Sorry I must be more tired than I thought. And more distracted than I thought, I thought this was my friends home…” she said “never mind I’ll leave you be…”
“Your friend lives in a highly secured mansion?” Huh, interesting. “Well you got me curious now, you could tell me what is bothering you?”

ashley-armbruster:
“normal people naveen, normal people. most would think that not replying to anyone and refusing to see people would be enough to warrant that i don’t want to see of hear from anyone but no, you scale the side of a mansion and my balcony” the buzzing from her phone wouldn’t stop and the bright halo of light from the screen was disrupting the dark setting. with a growl at the persistent device, ashley grabbed the phone and threw it across the room to somewhere it wouldn’t bother her. “i didn’t hire them but i guess useless people hire useless staff.”
“you not a fan of drama? i find that hard to believe” she said, turning her pillow over for her to rest her cheek on the cool side.
“and who’s this lil bird? i haven’t spoken to anyone and you’re basing your information off a rumour? that’s unlike you” ashley ignored his question and turned over on her bed to have her back facing him.
“Normal is objective and is made out of statements that society builds for us.” He started. “And yes, you have people that think that avoiding you will help and will eventually make you feel better, but I say bullshit to that.” He wondered who was texting her, then again it wasn’t yet that late. But Ashley needed her rest, so he took the phone she threw and put it in one of her drawers. At least that way the light wouldn’t bother her. “Can’t disagree, you need some brains to have capable staff.”
“I like it sometimes, I mean it surely depends on the situation.”
He smiled. “It was a rumor worth listening to if it was true?” Of course, he wouldn’t say who this little birdy was, she wouldn’t gain much of that info either way. “Had this been about Stephan I’d be laying in my bed right now.”

Do they regret when they strike out? Find satisfaction in it?
Naveen hasn’t hit anyone ever. You’d think he’d dirty his hands himself? He has a lawyer to deal with pests, and if not bodyguards are like a thing? and if not that you’d be surprised how cheap hitmen are :)
How quick are they to resort to violence?
Not violent at all.
Is there anything that makes them snap faster?
Gold diggers.
Do they throw insults or fists first?
Insults and sass, lots of sass.
If they could kill or harm another, without repercussions, would they? Who would it be? To what extent?
You’d be surprised how cheap hitmen are :)
