Fall in love with the Qur'aan, let its words penetrate your hearts, and then act upon what is being told to you, let it be your guiding light.
With a grateful heart, a mind is kept consistent of His Lord in which bears an inevitable strength that surpasses every endeavor given to him, and at the end rewarded by such blessings and Mercy [beloved partner in life and children] from His Everlasting love to those who keep firm in Him. May we become of those who bear such characteristics! Amin.

This is a very common hadith and known to many of us. But very rarely do we make use of this hadith the way it should be used. We are very greedy with our own duas but when it is the time to make dua for a fellow muslim brother or sister even if their suffering is more than ours we cannot seem to bring about the same emotions as we do whilst making dua for ourselves. This hadith helps us learn empathy, teaches us to put ourselves into the shoes of another and the most important thing this hadith teaches us is selflessness. 3 points to keep in mind while putting this hadith into practice. 1. BE SINCERE Make your dua sincere, don’t make dua just for the heck of it or because you want angels to make the same dua for you. Remember our religion is based on intention, if your intentions are self serving and selfish then you have missed out on the entire lesson/point of this hadith. 2. DON’T BE STINGY It is very easy to make dua for someone who is helping you and someone who is close to you. Very easy to make dua for your kids, family, spouse and best friend. But you need to walk an extra mile and make dua for your acquaintances, or someone you know through facebook and you know they are suffering or are going through a rough patch (many of us know this through their updates, it is pretty easy to guess how their life is unfolding). Facebook ofcourse if just an easy example. Make dua for the maid who works at your home, make dua for your boss who has anger issues, make dua for single mothers across the world you don’t even know about. Make dua for humans who are suffering because of war and injustice. Make dua to Allah for the guidance of that non muslim friend you have. 3. KEEP IT BETWEEN YOU AND ALLAH We are weak creatures and we love acknowledgment. Therefore, don’t rush to your friend and say I cried in sujood for you. If you keep mentioning it again and again it might make them feel uncomfortable. Let them know that they are in your duas. Don’t overdo it by expressing a lot, learn to strike a balance between comforting and showing off. This will help you in keeping check of yourself from falling into riya (showoff) and help you maintain sincerity. ♦ HADITH ♦ Abu Darda' (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Everytime he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: 'A meen! May it be for you, too'." Beauty of Jumu'ah!
The sweetest of words uttered by the sweetest Man ﷺ at the sweetest place during the sweetest time... Bring into your life the following and taste the sweetness of Imaan Insha Allah.
♦ REFLECTION & EXPLANATION ♦ This hadith is very easy to follow with those you love and benefit from. The real test is to implement this hadith with the ones who have wronged you, crushed you, broken your trust, and slandered you. This beautiful hadith is the ultimate test of humility and a small taste or glance of the scenario on the Day of Judgment. On the day of judgment you will be standing infront of Allah full of sins and having wronged, rejected and blatantly crossed over so many of His commandments. You would definitely want Allah to show mercy to you, right? So what’s the point I am trying to make here? The point is we all know we are sinners and we all know that the progeny of adam will err and fall into sin. Just like you have wronged others (we don’t usually see this part), someone had wronged you. Just like you would like Allah and the other person to forgive you and show you mercy, you need to show mercy to the one who has wronged you. May Allah bless our hearts with mercy and instill in all of us the trait of forgiveness for His sake. I leave you with this amazing quote Don’t forget to 1. Reflect, 2. Learn, 3. Implement, 4. And Share! "He who thinks that he is free from the criticism of people is a madman for even the Lord of the Worlds Himself has been wrongfully criticized." ~ [Imam Al-Shafi‘i] ♦ HADITH ♦ Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: The Prophet (saw) said: The Compassionate One has mercy on those who are merciful. If you show mercy to those who are on the earth, He Who is in the heaven will show mercy to you. [Abu Dawud] ♦ PROOF LINK♦ http://sunnah.com/abudawud/43/169

Islam is the religion of peace and submission to one true creator Allah Azza Wa Jall and we need to remember this simple message at all times. With the advent of social media and anonymity Muslims have gotten into a frenzy of unending arguments, name calling and debates, to the extent that its draining positive energy and hope out of most of us. We are enthralled in ego battles to put each other down. In times like these, this hadith, this teaching of our beloved prophet (may peace be upon him) that is 1400 yrs old brings comfort and joy to our hearts. It is as relevant now as it was back then, that is the beauty of Islam, it's teachings are not bound by time. Teachings of Islam are perfect for all generations to come – Alhumdulillah! This beautiful hadith where our beloved prophet is guarantying us a house in THE MIDDLE of jannah calms me down and instills in me rejuvenated hope and love. All we have to do its learn good manners, leave arguing and lying. It also reminds me of the verse from Qur’an Hal jazao al-ihsani illaal-ihsan Is the reward for good [anything] but good? {Surat Ar Rahman 55: Verse 60} Let’s learn to be compassionate and understanding. Let's bring people closer towards Islam rather than driving them away from it. Everyone is struggling and is trying their best. Lets leave the judgment to Allah and let our advice be private to our brothers and sisters. I leave you with this amazing quote Don’t forget to 1. Reflect, 2. Learn, 3. Implement, 4. And Share! When you see a brother or a sister acting in contradiction to their faith, be a private educator not a public tribunal. -Professor Tariq Ramadan ♦ HADITH ♦ Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners."
