Fun Fact about yourself? I used to do wildlife rehab. I was the "rabies and raptors" caretaker, meaning I handled the bats, raccoons, skunks, hawks, owls, falcons, and several other animals. The most treasured experience of my life was raising a baby bat, Bitty, from newborn.

How long have you been writing fanfiction? I started this little journey nine months ago, Feb 2025, when the brain worms latched on and wouldn't let go. Never thought I'd make it this far, and now I hope I can stick around for the long haul.

Favourite SDV character to write? Sebastian (but shoutout to Leah, I need to write more of my wife)

Favourite tropes/genre to write? Slice of Life, Toxic Relationships, Hurt/Comfort, Crack Taken Seriously

Your most popular SDV fanfic? Technically it's the original "High Enough", but I'm linking the rewritten version as the original has since been buried. It's my only published smut currently, an angsty and toxic encounter between Sebastian/M!Farmer. Mind the tags!

Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? "No Use Crying Over Spilled Tea"! Elliott returns to the Stardrop Saloon after getting blackout drunk the night before. He's on a mission to uncover the identity of the beautiful soul he had spent the night with, certain that this mystery person could be the love of his life.

Hear me out: You get what you give. Not in a perfect ratio, but if you want engagement, you have to put yourself out there. Connect with people, read fics, leave comments and kudos, engage in discussions, help in brainstorming sessions. Be grateful and show up for the people that do give you their time and attention, rather than longing for those that don't. Community is far more important and fulfilling than "fame".

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? I'm starting to get into the wild world of Don't Eat The Cashier!

As a birthday gift, the amazing @frootbelloop has made me this insanely gorgeous art of Harvey and Genevieve in their first Spirit's Eve together! Genevieve's birthday is right after, on Fall 28, and at that moment they were still, allegedly, just friends. 🫥 I love their outfits and how they reflect their personalities, and how delicately Shady has brought them to life. Tonight will be different.

She met him at the door and he could almost pretend he was coming home from work. Joints aching as she hugged him, breathing in the scent of her perfume as they kissed. And then they would be together, waiting for dinner to get ready, sitting next to each other and talking about their days at work. They would slow dance to his old jazz music and work next to each other on their hobbies, or cuddle on the couch and read by the fire. And then Harvey would finally have something to call his own. 

I love hurt no comfort and I love the friends that allow me to play dolls with their OCs in this scenario.

Fun Fact about yourself? I'm a certified ESL teacher and have taught English in the US and South Korea!

How long have you been writing fanfiction? I think I started writing in 2007? I wrote for a few different fandoms until 2012, then took a longggg break from writing until I picked it back up last year.

Favourite SDV character to write? Apparently it's Sebastian! He's a main character in almost everything I've ever written, and most of the time he's the POV character as well. I think I just found a version of him that I can hear pretty clearly in my head and I've rolled with it lol

Favourite tropes/genre to write? Friends to lovers/getting together/first kiss!

Your most popular SDV fanfic? Definitely my Seb/Alex two-parter Lean In & Let Go, which was also my very first SDV fic. It's spicy and imperfect, but I love it for many reasons and am still very proud of it.

Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? My Seb/Haley oneshot written for rarepair week! It's actually one of my favorite things I've ever written. If you like enemies to lovers romcoms, this one's for you.

Hear me out: Pierre, Demetrius, and Lewis are not that bad!! Look, any character can be made a villain if you write them that way, but the outright hate some people have for these three is unwarranted imo. They have flaws for sure, but none of them are horrible people with bad intentions.

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? I write a little for the BTS fandom. I've got one fic that's about 80% done and posted as a tweet thread fic. I'm in the process of cleaning that up and writing the last few parts to post it on ao3 by the end of the year.

Hear me out: If you want to be a better writer START READING! Consume any and all literary works that apply to the genre you want to write! Exposure over and over will help you learn what styles you like, tenses, formatting etc. and can really help round out your own writing voice!

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? My OG fandom was Marvel - I may reformat some old fics in the future. But I'm also considering writing for the COD and LADS fandom in the near future too!

How long have you been writing fanfiction? Since February of 2025 (And we’re over 80,000 words in!)

Favourite SDV character to write? In general, Alex is my favorite character. But I have found I really enjoy writing Haley. I think it’s because I relate to her.

Favourite tropes/genre to write? Romance is generally my genre. All of my original novels are fantasy romances. My favorite trope has got to be one night stand to lovers. I love that awkward “will/they won’t they” thing going on with that extra layer of “oh, but they already did.”

Your most popular SDV fanfic? Hey Farm Girl - by a long shot! It’s the first one I wrote, and probably most dear to my heart. It’s my longest fic too and still in progress. My farmer Summer is my favorite OC, and her enemies to lovers romance with Alex makes me go AHHHHH.

Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? My favorite fic I’ve written is probably Sundays. It is an apocalypse AU where everyone is dead except for Sebastian and Haley. It’s definitely not for everyone and has a lot of themes of religious guilt, homophobia, comphet, etc. But I think it’s some of my best work.

Hear me out: I think Alex is actually very sensitive. He had a bad relationship with his dad, and sometimes struggles to handle those big emotions, so he pushes them down and plays it off like he’s this dumb, arrogant jock. But I think underneath the walls he puts up, he is deeply insecure but also quite poetic and kind.

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? BATMAN. My best friend and I recently wrote a fic where Robin is convinced he has made a “one-day blinding stew”, and it is hilarious.

Out in the Real World, it's my birthday. I have received lots of truly wonderful gifts and well-wishes from across this lovely community, I would love to share a few of them.

My lovely friend @frootbelloop made this sweet little scene from my latest Lyra and Harvey fic, Let Me Kiss It Better. It's quite possibly some of the silliest fluff I've ever written but I had so much fun with it and I was thrilled to receive this! It's utterly perfect. The way he's so gently taking care of her, to how completely smitten she is. Gives me the warm and fuzzies. Thank you so much my lovely friend!

Favourite SDV character to write? Shane.....

Favourite tropes/genre to write? Mutual pining comes to mind, but I do love fluff, hurt/comfort, and obviously smut.

Your most popular SDV fanfic? Kudo wise? It would be What a Glorious Day, a silly ShanexReader which was my very first fanfic for SDV EVER. I think people enjoy the joke at the end, which is the very reason this one shot exists in the first place... But recently I've been getting a lot of traction, feedback, and conversation around my ongoing fic Unsettled Dust of the Valley (Last chapter planned for 08/06!) Shameless promo hehe.

Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? Kent's Return. I do enjoy reading Hurt/No Comfort but I have no real confidence in how I write it. Yet this one kinda hit the spot!

Hear me out: I like that Shane still drinks after his 6 hearts event, I like that his spouse room is messy and STAYS messy. It's realistic, it makes me feel good. You don't quit drinking and the next day your house smells of lemon and lavender y'know. Also him being a slob isn't inherently related to his drinking so yeah if he wants to burp in my face, say I smell like smoked meat and that he discovered a new specie of fungus behind his fridge? Go off my king, go right off, I'm nibbling on pizza rolls as we speak.

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? I used to write for Lord of the Rings, W.I.T.C.H and....Super Smash Bros, but I lost this superb Captain FalconxGanondorf one shot I'm afraid.
