the language of severe autism is something u can debate all day but at the end of the day people on this site care more about that than acknowledging and uplifting those of the autistic community who actually have higher support needs. there is an immense level of privilege in pretending the debate about functioning labels ends at getting rid of it when for some its crucial to be able to rely on for support. and it honestly does feel like some of u pretend autistics with learning disabilities and those who need full time care dont exist or dont have a say in the convo when theyre the ones most effected by both sides of the conversation
