Ok so, first things first, i wanna make clear that i don't have anything against the actor that played Eddie.
Anyway, thing with a ton of people being obsesed with him is that they will try and make a vest like his and i am not saying that making a battle jacket is bad is just that, while some people make one inspired by his (patches with the hellfire club logo, patches related to other stranger things characters, etc) orhers try to make the exact vest that he is wearing and most people that do that don't even listen to the bands (yea yeah, call me a gatekeeper but gatekeeping needs to be done sometimes in the metal community). And like, if i see someone of the street wearing a vest that is the same as Eddie's i am not gonna go to them and be like "NaMe thReE SOnGs", but as stranger things has been pretty much shoved down everyone's throat (in the way that u can't escape seeing stuff related to the series) some people will reconize that vest and u will most likely get some dirty looks from metalheads irl.
What i am trying to say is that what wearing that vest is pretty much the same as idk....dressing 100% goth but not listening to the music or dressing punk but not having the political views the punks do.
And also, i just hate seeing all bitches that obsess over Eddie being like "uwu pretty long haired boy that has tattoos and is into metal music wow that is so hot" BUT when they see a actual metalhead they are all judgemental. Like yo, most of us metalheads did not got called fucking satanists and got made fun of for listening into metal for ya'll to suddenly loose ya'll shit over a fictional metalhead from a overrated show.
Also i saw people online saying that metalheads that have curly hair and bangs or even actuall battle vests "ripped off" Eddie like what the fuck???????
(at this point the stranger things bitches just started a game of "let's see how many metalheads i can get to hate me")
